I am wondering if the tests are ever wrong?

I've read that cannabis can change sex based on environmental factors.
A lot of herms are environmental, not saying all factors, but a lot. Just look around on riu. Tons of people pissed off at x seedbank because of herms, while dozens grow the same seeds with no herms. No test can predict environmental stresses and shortcomings of the grower. Just many people don't want to admit that it's their shortcomings that lead to prevalence of herms. At the same time that doesn't discount the fact that a propensity to herm may be in fact part of a particular lineage's heritage.
There are a lot of people that downplay genetic stock as well, acting like it is all grower's fault. They are ignorant and misunderstand genetics and say things like cancer isn't genetic when in fact we know there are at least 10 percent of cancers affected by genetic predispositions. Despite it not meaning that most of time we may not find genetic linkage that doesn't mean there isn't. It simply dismisses the idea that we don't understand the totality of genetic proclivities.
As far as I understand, because I am no expert but there will always be a chance for a plant to herm given the right stresses and given the "right" conditions it is far less likely a plant will herm. Albeit some genetics may have more of a predisposition to this than others.
They do have different tests for genotypes, and genomic analysis.
So far as I can tell (with no experience with the company) the genotype test will let you know basically whether it is THC, CBD, CBG leaning, or combo of them (albeit I think most growers would be like well I tend to know that well in advance of growing what I am growing). The genomic analysis purports to give you massive comparative data between multiple plants which could be useful on paper in breeding projects (albeit the best buds have probably been made by experience not comparing data).

I mean if you are on a pheno hunt with 20 plants is it worth 200 bucks to you to find out and even at seedling stage?
