make sure your grow room is dark for the full 12 hours and not getting any light leaks in there during that time. you shouldnt be able to see your hand infront of your face for 12 hours in there.

HOT damn whats that almost 12 weeks? What did the site say your flowering time would be? Maybe the trichs aren't gonna turn amber, but theres another post in the outdoor forum about some dude whos had a ridiculously long flower time but it looked like he was doin eveything wrong. Whats your setup?

It sounds like they should be good to pick but maybe not. Do you hqve pics?

12/12 closet set up 5x7 1000 watt hps doors stay open when light is on. One fan blowing in . One blowing out . Another circulating. No light getting in. Sites say 80 days on diesel. Im past that by a day. Beginng to think shes not diesel. Lol. Looking dry no matter what I do. Humidity is 50%.

I for one never wait on amber tric to appear anymore....over-ripe good weed is worse than swag IMO....I harvest ALL my plants when 95% milky/cloudy, a few clear and even fewer amber....Harvesting 4-5 plants per month, ya have to have a plan....tric color is only one of the several harvest triggers I go by....and personally do not like over-ripe bud.....to me over-ripe "taints" the effect of the strain in a negative way.....

Truth in amber trics! This is the sign the plant is dying nothing else and the trics are starting to rot basically. If u don't agree I don't care because u don't know jack about this plant if so. Cloudy is the trigger not amber. Some amber will occur during drying. My strain finishes at 56 days, best thc of any out there and I let one big bud go for 18 days past harvest just to see and still no real amber 18 ++ days after all trics cloudy.. I for one take em a bit early with most clear then the bulk at 100% cloudy. Like two types of medicine. One for the day, one for the evening. And flushing does nothing and I mean nothing in hydro with Botanicare. Your plant is not getting something it needs and it looks like light to me. Co2 would make for fat ass huge colas with that strain. But it might just be you got a very sativa gene and will be on flower for eternity.. Mine are top strain out of 150 strains tested in thc and only 56 to 63 days flowering from clone.. GOOD LUCK.. don't listen to a lot of the bs on this subject. U have a long flowering strain is my final assesment of what I see.. Sorry for ya...
Thanks. Thats what kind of input im looking for!!!

Thank you. I think thats the case. Will let everyone know how it turns out. I harvested my widows at cloudy trichs with a few clear.
Still curing, but tested some and its great. :) I thought people say wait to see a few amber trichs before harvesting? Its very confusing being a newbie trying to figure out what information is good or bad advice on here. Lol. None the less this site has helped me get a yield on my first try! Thanks everyone. :)

Some strains can get purple trichs.. yes purple.

;)

It's very beautiful to look at purple trichs.. especially because they're fairly rare to come across.

peace

God yes! I got some completely dark purple bud a little bit ago and i scraped together my kif and it was straight purple with a green speck every here and there. Amazing looking, only wish i couldve seen it as a plant...

As a sleep deprived patient, I let amber make itself known as I need the sedation.

Very interesting that none of the hairs even are brown after all that time.. She's def taking her time!

Keep on eye on the hairs turning brown and receding also apart from the trichs themselves. That's sometimes a decent indicator of ripeness vs prematurity.
