Just wondering overall what RIU thinks about cannabis being an effective cure for cancer. There is no doubt that it certainly helps with the symptoms, but I am more interested in what you think about antitumor effects. There hasn't been any phase 3 testing with cancer and cannabis that I know of, but there are many studies related to antitumor effects of phytocannabinoids in mice. There are also lots of testimonials online that it has cured peoples cancers. What do you guys think?

like it works with all people.. may work with some.. may not with others.. I still think even some cancer patients are afraid of MMJ more so then all the other crap they are gonna get... I could be wrong.. this is my impression with pretty much anyone under DR's care

Actually, if you look into it, people who are able to eliminate sugar from their diet, and foods that ultimately metabolize into sugar have often been able to cure themselves of cancer. Check out the raw food diet. It's a huge extreme to turn to, but if it works it works.

Diet in combination with Rick simpson oil has proven effective but like above said, it doesn't always work. Also research is being done on terpenes (Limonene, pinene, etc) and their ability to fight cancer.

I have read about alternative diets as well. But, this is very hard to do for a cancer patient. Those receiving treatment already have a very hard time eating, limiting their diet can be very difficult. Definitely trying to eat lots of veggies is a step in the right direction, though.

Limiting your diet whilst having chemo is almost impossible, you are not allowed any salad stuff because of bugs no takeaway food for the same reason everything has to be freshly made and let me tell you that's the last thing you want to be doing, when eventually you do try and eat your mouth is so sore it's like eating glass and your stomach feels like its on fire, and then you've got the pleasure of not being able to control your bowels and when you go it's like passing red hot lava so food is no pleasure at all infact life is no pleasure at all when having cancer treatment.

Exactly.
Chemo and radiation is a fucked up treatment.
When someone has cancer it's not so simple as changing your diet. That's more of preventative measure.
This is what cannabinoids mainly help with; Allows the patient to sleep when experiencing anxiety. Allows the patient to eat when it seemed impossible before.(how can you battle a sickness without giving your body energy? Not eating results in weakness, mouth sores and digestive problems) Allows the patient a better quality of life. Your mental attitude is everything when fighting a life threatening disease. Marijuana helps with that for most.

Every hospital in this god forsaken earth should have access to strong CBD dominant tincture for patients in need. I could give a fuck what happens with the laws beside that. Just give the patients what they genuinely need ffs.

I don't know if cannabinoids cure cancer but they do help the healing process along. No doubt.

After reading the research coming from Harvard Medical, and the preliminary studies done by Stanford, I think that it does have the potential to cure cancer. The delivery method (getting the curative cannabinoids to the right place) is going to be the biggest stumbling block in successfully curing cancer through the use of cannabinoids.

Weed probably will reverse cancer in some people but I doubt most, and smoking it is probably not the way to go....edibles. Of course its gonna help pain and suffering though. Actual reversal of cancer cells?? Absolutely possible in some people.
