DO I NEED A BIGGER POT??

Hello all just finished my grow after returning to drain to waste coco. The grow was very disappointing but could have easily been due to other factors (young plants in veg getting lockout maybe).
When previously growing in coco drain to waste I used 20 litre pots but after some research I decided to move down to just under 2 US gallon pots 7.5 litre.
Looking at the roots they do look crammed. 8-9 week flower, fed 4 times a day lights on, coco always damp but not soaked, run off in line with input, plants around 3 ft high.
Should I use bigger pots??

What about the grow was disappointing? Yield? I have had this old phrase stick with me and found it to be true with controlled testing, bigger roots, bigger fruits. I went from 10 gal to 5 gals a while ago and the plants literally yielded half as much as the 10 gal with everything else being the same, environment, veg time, genetics, nutrients etc..

Many growers swear in coco you only need 5 gallon pots. While that may be true for some it isn't for me. I definitely lose yield when I grow in small pots, also I get way smaller buds.

The grow just seemed to stall mid grow, very low yield with fluffy buds. I did switch feed at 2 weeks from Athena back to my normal feed and I think I may have topped to many times and given them to much to do.
When you went to smaller pots did you increase your feed frequency?
