So I have had a charcoal filter for about a year now. It was given to me by a friend so I dont have any information on it (The make/model). Will it continue to kill the smell or do I need to replace it? And if so, where do I take it to get that done? And is it just regual charcoal in there? Thanks!

Not regular charcoal... Its activated charcoal... I think you can get it at pet stores... Not sure i use activated charcoal filters... Like the pads you put in a hepa filter... Though i think ones with the lil charcoal work better...

in most cases it is still cheaper to replace the refil. it boggles me... a can 50 @ 175.00 but not getting busted priceless

our sponsor with the skunk can help ya!

it's better to just replace it. my buddy tried to repack his. big mess. he tossed it and bought a new one. he changes his once a year.

hi all ive used carbon that was ment 4 a fish tank .had to buy about ten boxes .but worked really well for a little over a year .cost was only 20 quid. cheap compared with getting a whole new filter
