Do males grow faster?

My question is do males always grow faster? I ask because I have 2 plants going(they're both from bag seeds and from different bags but I know they're sativa). They are both 3 weeks old. One is about 4 in. Tall and has 2 nodes the other is about 8 in. with the 5th node sprouting. I'm a little concerned with it being a male. No pics at the moment posting from my phone. Could anyone give me some insight thanks in advance!!!

Typically males do grow faster,but not all the time,and if the node is sprouting just wait until it finishes,if a single fan leaf forms you have a male.

I can tell already there going to be 2 fans but I thought the only real way to sex them was wait for pre flowers?

Pretty much - gotta wait and see

Most cases yes but there are some strains where the females and males in the pool are neck in neck.

Some people say that,but i have never encountered and most likely will never a female plant the grows a single fan leaf in a node.only branches.
