Do ROOTS NEED TO BE IN BUBBLES FOR BUBBLEPONICS HELLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Help i have a 20 gallon storage bin and would have to fill it almost all the way up and that could weigh 800 pounds, do the roots need to be in the water? i have a top feed that goes into each plant from a water pump at the bottom

if they are completely submerged the will not get the oxygen the need. leave a gap. they will grow into the water. the area that is left out is drying and getting O2.

I don't leave a gap. I fill my water up to my rockwool. Basically you can go full DWC with this method or part aeroponics by leaving a gap. It's up to you, either way your roots won't drown if you have a strong enough air pump.

Btw a gallon of water is closer to eight pounds.

I use hydroton pellets and i leave about a 1-2 inch gap, the roots grow down into the water. I'm sure either way would work though.

This fight never ends. This is what i did I ran some with the level about 2" under the pots and some with the level right up to an1" in to my net pots. What I found is the full ones grew much faster had more roots and more yield Try it for your self.Good Luck

honestly your answer is NO you dont need the bubbles running up your roots but it couldnt hurt. those Aerogardens that some people grow out of have a VERY small bubbler and do not provide much air to the roots and they still function well.

The higher the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) the less likely your plants will succumb to bacteria. Most important is your water temperature that should be below 74 unless your using beneficial bacteria

here u go the roots need to stay moist or better yet not be allowed to dry out ,self watering or drip feed til roots reach the water then there no need for sw or df

Hmmm this topic is still on top? Srsly man it's all up to what your specific plant needs. Some need more oxygen for various reasons.. My advice is still fill to the bottom of the cube. When you do that the water level will drop below a couple inches a day anyway. More once they are big.

I wish I could close topics.
