Do the bottom leaves of the plant die off naturally?

Do you guys agree that this might have been the whole problem? the roots had no hairs, and the plant growth was stunted, and the lower leaves felt dry and started dying, I'm guessing since there were no root hairs(caused by overwatering or no oxygen) the plant was not able to take in moisture and the lower leaves slowly started dying and showing brown spots on them.

Do you think using Root Juice by BIO BIZZ would help in reparing the roots, and if so is there an alternative to it like DIY. Since its kind of expensive here for me to get it. It would cost me around 35$ for the smallest 250ml container.

1. Have you seen any fungus gnats?
2. Calm down

Sure, it may help. The componets they list as ingredients are much cheaper individually from non mj specific retailers. The compacted soil was likely preventing water/nutes from gretting to roots. Did you smell a funk when transplanting? Were the roots brown and not white? If no to both then roots probably fine.

The roots were white but not completely white. They had a tint to them. The soil I was using earlier had no perlite in it and had this styrofoam like things in it. It also did not have a reasonable amount of them in the soil. Like 2% lol. Right now I'm using around 30% perlite. I'm 90% sure this was the issue. Never have I ever had the experience of having to press really hard on the soil to break it apart from the roots. The soil on the outer parts of the pot was fine and not compact. The soil in the center was really compact though. I'm going to update you in the next few days. If there is no new growth and the leaf problem persists, then the problem was not due to the compact soil. Thanks a lot for your help I really appreciate it!

Hello everyone,
One of my plants if 20 days old and its lower 2 bottom sets of leaves are dying on their own. Is this natural or is there something wrong. The way they are dying is that they are showing symptoms similar to fungus gnat symptoms or over watering symptoms. This is only happening to the first 2 sets of leaves and the rest of the leaves are not affected and they are not drooping.

The leaves basically get a brownish greenish mark on them that causes a part of the leave to bend or curl in a weird random way. After that mark appears, the leaves start turning yellow, and the original mark becomes brown. Those leaves feel really dry and is they are crispy. they don't crumble though.

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, it's normal. As long as it's just those two bottom leaves. My previous Amnesia Haze grow, this happened to me, and I was freaking out. Luckily decided to Wait and See. Turns out the single and three-bladed leaves just dies off for me. The rest of the plant was great. Went all the way to harvest.
