I have to agree with funk its more so hope in humanity than faith i think,But if you wanna ask me if i have hope in humanity i would say yes,but i do have faith that humanity will be the cause of its own problems.Yet i hope we will choose a right path to preserve ourselves from the imposing things heading our way such as war, global warming, and possibly famine.

There is a level of acceptable destruction of all that is around us, part collateral damage, part necessity to exist, part just human fucken greed, that reassures me that within the next 1000 years we will eventually see the end of animals and birds on this planet. Not so much an issue of faith, its more about having worked out the pattern of, and acceptable levels of destruction that we create over millenia and the human cultural skill of blaming the previous generation and not making the necessary changes to prevent its continuation.

Amen

I was chillin in my kitchen one time eating nachos (of course) and heard a music countdown on the tv in the other room. Number 1 was that "womanizer" song by brttany spears, number 2 was those jonas fags and number 3 was pokerface. This is when i lost faith in humanity. I'm 17 and i know that there is better music out there...what the fuck...where are the bands who know what a pentatonic scale is? where are the bands period? I can't believe this is the music that the human majority listen to never mind enjoy. somebody should sneak some weed cookies into the jonas fag's makeup room or whatever before they go on stage...see what happens...

Read the head lines in your local paper, watch the local news.Break out your history books and see what man has done in the past, to learn our future. We are fucked.
Mans greed and love of money will never stop,it has been that way since the beginning of civilization. It is why this world is in the shape it is in now.
As the saying goes, money is the root of all evil.OPH

I'm hopeful. Even with all of the garbage and bullshit in the world today, you still have to look at history. Today, we are ten times better off than we were 100 years ago, and hundreds of times better off than we were 1000 years ago. Science, technology, and education are the solution behind ALL of the world's problems and at this present time, all 3 of these fundamentals are stronger than ever. With the upcoming advent of green energy and solar power, we can cut energy costs worldwide across the board leading to worldwide productivity gains and worldwide prosperity. In the next 50 years you will see prices drop and incomes increase(relative to inflation). And then if electricity prices drop and mass indoor farming takes off you will see even MORE productivity gains as food prices across the country drop with the increased supply thus leading to even MORE productivity gains and even MORE prosperity!!! See, thats how technology works. One invention leads to other inventions which lead to even more inventions. Its an exponential curve which always results in more global productivity and more wealth for everyone(even the poor eventually) and assuming we don't destroy our planet in the process, the next 50 years will be VERY exciting. Youtube "nokia morph", the nanophone, for a quick example. Sorry for the block of text, I'm using a proxy and it won't let me make paragraphs for some reason.

technology that is destroying our planet.Man keeps creating things with man made chemicals that once in our ecosystem we can not get rid of.How many toxic dumps are there in this and every country of the world, all created by science.
If science was as advanced as you say, they would have figured out way to create thing without destroying the only planet we have to live on.OPH

I almost thought I was going to have some faith in humanity and then I turned on the news and there was yet another guy in a 3 piece suit coming under fire for stealing 50 million dollars in a pyramid scheme. I was so lucky that he came along just in time. Now I can remain a cynical bitch. Whew...........

Maybe you sabatged your faith the second you turned on the news? You didn't need to know that, you let yourself. What is the difference bettween humanity and me? you? if you don't have faith that says more about yourself than humanity I think?

Do you have the faith to hand over every dollar you have to Mr. pyramid scheme?
I'd have faith and would have if I had at least 100 million buck the min to buy in was one million, if that's all your money then thats a little foolish/or money is not an object. I have a little more faith now that something like that may not happen again.

I have faith that a whole lot more people will ge going down in the future for shams, scams and rip offs. America is broke, or hadn't you heard? It's coming down to someone, somewhere, following the money, we've just touched the tip of the ice berg where that is concerned.

Like I said, I could have faith in a person (that is an individual) but when you lump everyone together into humanity, nope, too many shiesters out there.
