I'm much happier being single. My ex used to micromanage my life. Now I do what I want, when I want, and to be honest, it's cheaper for me to pay for sex, then to get it for "free".

I've always preferred no company than bad company. My mother warned me ....." Never let them get a bit and reins on you ! " . When you said " much happier " , it really struck a chord....when I got rid of my wife ( very young... ignorant...short marriage ) I f'ing danced in the hallways , never so happy in my life ! However , there are some great ones out there....I ended up with one .....still .......over 39yrs......She's a trippy , artsy, stoner dude !

If a little under 40 counts as young. Then I guess that's me. I'd like to live by myself some day. Have some little two story barn thing. Get a garden going. Just do my own thing. Without chasing the joneses.

I like both winter and women to be extreme for a few months and then go away until next year.

By all means, there is great ones out there. I believe it to be more a "me" issue . I have a problem with being told what to do and I'm not willing to compromise on that anymore. I get its not for some, to be alone. For me, there's no drama, bullshit, or heartache. Just peace and quiet. Lol

My friend Jerry Vandergrift kissed me in Home Ec. class.
Later in the afternoon some jarheads in the locker room kicked my ass.
I said "Guys, I'm like you, I like monster trucks too."
Want to see how many push-ups I can do?
I just wish I was queer so I could get chicks.

A kindred spirit you are......never,never ever tell me what to do......orders , no such thing like that around here or need to ever compromise. As far as being alone , I really do enjoy the space....the still . We're on a " Private Garden Trip " here , absolutely no bullshit tolerated , be chill or get the f out . The great thing for me about experiencing a shitty relationship in my early 20's is that I got a life saving attitude adjustment.........never f'ing again ! It's a lesson you'll never forget. Enjoy the peace and quiet.....the " still" .
