Do you prefer quantum boards or strips?

I'm not really looking for a new light but the samsung strips do look nice so I'm wondering if you guys prefer boards or strips and why?

I already have 4 quantum boards that I use with a 315 cmh, and a 600 watt hps that I don't use anymore so Im not in need of a light but I might get a small strip light to put in a 3x3.

I mean it’s a no brainer that strips have a much better spread

having used both I’ll take my strips to flower over boards any day.

So would you say even spread is the biggest advantage to the strips?

yes even spread, i build my lights using many strips, running them very soft. it allows me perfect coverage across my canopy and i can literally grow colas to within milimeters of the diodes without issue.

What's the penetration differance between strips and boards?

Thats pretty incredible you can get them that close. I dont have height issues but that is impressive.

My strips have no issue with penetration

Fatty nugs all the way down

To each their own, both work well..... In my current situation strips would be a better fit.

Very nice. How many watts are you using?

My original plan was to put 2 Alibaba sf2000s in the 3x3 since that would give pretty even coverage also but maybe I'll give a strip light a try. There doesn't seem to be many options that will fit in a 3x3 though.

no pics during lights out, no questions on rui, i just come on here for the music and the politics section lol

Even coverage with great penetration can be achieved with either. Its a matter of cost preference availability etc. I have both and like both. In each case spread is key imo.
