Do You Support Child Abuse ... ???

The latest "stimulus" package being offered by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats is nothing more than a Marxist wish list that will bind future generations of children into economic slavery. If that isn't child abuse, what is?

You're really quite insane with Bush Derangement Syndrome, aren't you bradly?

For the record, Bradley ... The Republicans, under the Bush administration, were a bunch of spendthrifts, no doubt. But in comparison with the Democrat's latest attempt to increase the power of the federal machine, they were pikers. This latest attempt will, with interest, amount to 1.3 TRILLION dollars, most of which will NOT stimulate the economy, but will go as payoffs to Democrat supporters.

Honestly Bradley ... its time to wake up and smell the coffee. We have a ONE PARTY SYSTEM. Its all about power at the expense of the little guy. Did you know that the Democrats are NOT the party of the poor and downtrodden? Hey, Nancy Pelosi and her husband are worth over 500 million. Same thing with Diane Feinstein. You think Harry Reid is poor? You think Daschle is poor? Hell man, even the "Community Organizer" is worth over two million dollars ... and you can bet he'll be worth at least ten times that much by the time he leaves the White House. Take a look at the Clintons. How does one go from a $35,000 a year salary as a hick governor of Arkansas to being worth tens of millions of dollars without ever holding a job in the private sector?

Like I said, get a clue ...

And what good would it do to legalize marijuana? Oh ... are you thinking that it could be taxed? Well, when the slogan is uttered: "Free the Weed," taxing the shit out of it hardly makes it "free," now does it? ;-)

Vi
No. That was a link to a page on libertarianism. Libertarians are for small government and low taxes. The Libertarian party would get government out of the charity business, which would bring down taxes. It would legalize marijuana, at the very least. And it would greatly reduce the laws that force many otherwise [reasonably] honest businessmen into becoming crooks. (And no, I'm not saying that all businessmen would be honest if the government wasn't trying to steal so much money from them. But I do believe that most of them would.) There's nothing wrong with capitalism itself, and the Libertarian party knows that. Blah blah and so forth.

PPP, this section is specifically for talking about Politics, so it's appropriate to talk about what the government is doing.

Well it might mean that less room were needed in the prison system. The court costs for pot heads. So in some ways legalization or at least de-criminalization would reduce govt spending.

Taxation is a different matter entirely.

I know, man. I've been a registered Libertarian for the past 25 years or so. Blah blah ... and so forth.

Well, you're right as usual, no doubt. But it kind of frosts me when pot smokers talk about legalizing the weed and in the same breath talk about taxing it too. Not saying that anyone in this thread is doing that ... just sayin'.... ;-)

I thought you seemed familiar. Good to know you. :)
Same back atcha. :)

I will admit though ... I voted for Palin this last go-round. She's the first Republican presidential candidate I've voted for since Reagan. Yeah, I know ... I know ... she was running for Vice President, but hey ... only a heart beat away.

I never said this thread wasn't for talking about politics i am just trying to say that life wont last forever and it is proven that stress can cause illness shorten your life and is harmful to your mental state so instead of getting all wound up and stressed over something you have no control over just forget about it and chill out. Unless u can get in high place of power nothing u say or do will change the way countries are run, its not like people haven't tried. for something to be done someone with our views has to get elected and unfortunately this doesn't seem to happen.

I appologise for coming in all hippyish on your thread just tell me to piss off lol

No shit. Me too. I've voted Libertarian down the ticket since I was 18 (36 now), but had to vote R this time. Didn't really want to, but Palin won me over, and the Democrats have gone too far. Thinking I'm going back to voting L, unless they run Jindal and Palin next go round. But they (Republican Party) are probably not that smart, LOL.

Man, that would be a killer ticket ... Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin.

Here we have all these liberals posting in this forum who honestly think Obama, AKA Mr. Cosmopolitan, will be the change agent the've been dreaming of since their acid days of the 1960s, when in actuality, we are witnessing the beginning of the third Clinton term.

Bill Clinton must be cumming all over himself!
