im just syaing its good for some situations in small amounts , and its not jsut healthy leaves man , im talking ripof 1 or 2 nute burnt leaves here and there and in flowering they die off ... whats ur strain , do you have bushes. iuno man im definitly not saying ur wrong. plants do grow best when left alone. but for my strain , i like a few less around the top / midle , maybe like 10 - 15 less quality leaves over its whole flower period. jsut syain man keep an open mind. smoke one

check out my grow in my signature. i removed 70-80% of leaves in the first week of flowering and my lady is ahead of many people in bud production and bud size at its current week compared to others. lots of talk goin on here but no proof of nothing from anyone. heres my $0.02

you kids talk about experments that have been done 30 years ago.

the leaves are the solar power facilities for your plant, the buds are power storage sites. very little photosynthesis takes place in the flowers of any plant. take away the power source and theres no need for more storage.

you guys who are saying its working great are no doubt on your first or second grow, maybe you will learn maybe you wont. best of luck.

only remove leaves if they are dying or you for a pruning technique like lollipoping.

other situations where it is ok is LST scrogs, you will be trimming lower budsites possibly with this technique anyways. and to increase airflow in densely packed gardens.

Do you mean those tiny popcorn buds?
at 16 days?
ahead of most other people?

Sorry but your grow is a definate case for not removing fan leaves.

You're welcome to do whatever you want to your own plants,
but please stop spreading misinformation:!:.

I love forums... but too much info is thrown in them.. everyone has their own opinion etc.... that is why i like to give straight out of the book info and tips... that way you can make your own mind...
In jorge Cervantes medical marijuana grow bible...... it clearly states and not once but twice... In capital letter ... infact let me get the book and write the quote...
there we go page. 61 "Leave leaves alone!!!!!removal of healthy leaves hacks up a healthy plant. removing large fan or shade leaves DOES NOT make plants more productive . this practice DOES NOT supply more light to smaller leaves and growing tips. plants need all their leaves to produce the maximum amount of chlorophyll and food ...." there you go.. i hope this helped...

There you go, Mother Nature knows better, and in her wisdom she will
shed all the fan leaves in her own good time. bongsmilie

Here's an example of 2 growers using pruning (fan leaves included) to increase yields

And here's a grower who could have pruned this plant to make larger buds. i've read many times over that yield can be slightly more when grown like this, but your nugs aren't as solid.

That was at 15days ..........they fill out from there i usually yield 3/4 pound per plant..... Flower 8 wks
