Definitly.

I'm using https://northerngrowlights.com/collections/all/products/photon-180clu1825

with Citizen CLU058 3500k 90cri

Im on my second run first run was mostly with a Mars II 900. With this run with just cobs from the start I didn't notice a huge difference in veg. Once I hit 12/12 I was like I hit a fast-forward button. Flowers appearing in a few days compared to 2 weeks unders the Mars, hairs go from white to brown and recede in a day or two, with the mars they stayed white for weeks.

Other differnces; little or no "stretch", under the mars thet kept streching for the light right till harvest day. Nugs are much denser, like rock hard. the Mars produced very airy buds.

Only problem is i cant seem to keep up with the calcium requirements.

I apologise in advance for jacking, but has anyone tried those cheap LED lights on eBay from Mars hydro?
Wattage - 300, 400, 600, 1000 & 1200 I think they are?
I haven't found an actual honest review or anyone that's used them for a full cycle.

Thats odd, I have a Mars 1200 and it produced some rock hard Prime Cannabis.
However, my plants stretched until harvest as well.
Never had issues with density under Mars.
Will be running COB this grow to see the difference.

It was my first grow and I had problems throughout. so its probably not fair of me to blame the Mars for the airy buds. No doubt others will get far better results than me. Still, I'm going to convert the mars to cobs as per groumouse's guide on youtube.

What cobs are you getting?

I just finished a full cycle with a mars II 900 ( 385 w meausered at wall), see my comments above. They're decent value in relation to similar fixtures, but nobody should be recommending them over pre-built diy-style COB fixtures. They're similar cost but are some of the best lights available anywhere compared to the Mars which will be easily out performed by a HPS of similar draw.

Yeah, they work fine for sure.

I got Vero 29 Gen 7 300k 80 CRI.

However I am using my own Meanwell drivers, instead of the included ones that are at .7ma.

I will be finished later tonight. Running 6 COBS at 2.1A in 1 3 x 3 which give me over 950 PPFD without reflectors.
I bought reflectors, but I will not be using them.

Ill through up a post today on the finished product :)

Reason for going with Vero 29 over CXB was the fact that they are twice the price in Canada and a small amount of wattage increase is fine with me as electricity isnt a concern at all.
From my comparisons your savings are negligible unless running very large setups in a commercial environment.
If you want some help PM :)
