I don't have this specific light, but I will say this....

I own 3 lights (all fluoros) that are made by Hydrofarm, and I am extremely happy with all 3 of them.

I have nothing but good things to say about Hydrofarm, and would highly recommend them as a brand to anybody I know.

only one bulb? Some people are saying that the frame is a little flimsy, so i dunno if I'd wanna add more lights...

You'ld be money better spent if you built a frame out of wood and used your money to buy a better light. A 2 bulb fixture isn't going to put out a very big foot print. Really only one row of plants in solo cups. T5s are great but your plant really needs to be right under the bulb, with the bulb right on top the plant. So the foot print with that setup is only about 3 inches wide, by however long the light is. That frame that comes with the light you are looking at will not hold a much bigger light assembly and then it will become very top heavy and easily tip over. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Right?

I think it would be better than that, I have 2 4 foot bulbs now and I think they have exceeded my expectations...And if I could make that out of wood, I probally would....I guess it depends on your needs, I was actually going to add it to a room.

If it's just one bulb I don't think it would be suficient enough, and it does look like it might be top heavy, bietter off get a 2 bulb or 4 bulb light, I use T5's and have good success with it, build your own stand or hang from the ceeling with chains, use hooks on the lamp to connect it to higher or lower links.

I built my own stand out of a few extra 2" x 2" 's and scrap plywood. All I had to buy was a box of screws and a quart of paint. It holds a 2' x 4 light t5 underneath, and a 4' x 8 light t5 above. I looked in to getting a pre-made stand and decided it wasn't enough light. I think there's a thread in the DIY section were a guy made a stand out of PVC. You could use schedule 80 or above if your worried about strength.
