Does anyone out there use Derek Gilmans curing tech? Experience?

Anyone ever tried this? Thinking this may be what I want to try. It's my first grow. I've cured some fresh flowers from a friend before, basic daily burping, but that's about it. I'm thinking I might do a jar or two where I cure using the more traditional method, just to compare. Regardless I am curious to see what others have experienced if they've tried this, or just some expert opinions on why it's dog shit. Thanks!

Too much unnecessary hassle and equipment. Hang buds or dry them on a tray. When they are ready to smoke put in jars. Done.
I'm really trying to bring out the terps though. If it was that easy then everyone's flower would be gas. lol. I feel you though. Complicating a simple process. I already have all the equipment though, so I am going to give it a shot. Wanna have this shit cured right so when you pop the jar it's like getting kicked in the nose. lol.

Well if you have everything give it a try. I'm just a simple dry and jar guy myself.

Terpenes are produced by the plant while it's ALIVE and growing. The amount of terpenes at harvest is as much as there will ever be. The fact you smell the terpenes means they are evaporating. The finite amount of terpenes is not replenished or otherwise enhanced by age, regardless of "curing" and in fact curing only leads to further loss of terpenes.

Dry it, smoke it. It's that simple.

No doubt. I guess more so what I meant was that the drying and curing leaches the things out that can affect flavor and mask terps. Or you could dry too quick and it smells like grass... or cardboard in my homies case lol... shit is legit scentless.

a lot of that gas is genetics, mid bud is gonna always be mid buds.

Agreed. Def seen some people fuck up some straight fire by fucking the dry/cure up tho.
I have done it myself, trying to speed up or complicating the process is usually the culprit. Drying too fast, harvesting too early, there is a bunch of factors. I just hang the whole plant, air circulating around it, then when the branches snap easily/bud can just be plucked off (usually 2-2 1/2 weeks) and then it goes into a jar. And it’s smokeable from that point.
