Hello all,
I harvested an outdoor grow and thanks to 2 days of mild rain, and some dense purple cola's, and myself beign a cheap ass and not buying a proper tarp, I have bud mold
I am afraid If I try to hang them, they will completely mold and I will of lost a lot of precious MJ, so I am coping by using the microwave steam method.
I am making honey oil with the trim and noticeably moldy buds, so those are already out of the picture for those who were wondering.
Does anyone know if the steam is likely to kill the mold spores that could be left over? I did my best to seperate the good bud from the bad, but you can never be too sure.
Basically I stick like 1/3 an ounce in a big tupperware container and seal on the lide 3/4's of the way with some wet paper towel inbetween the seal. I microwave on 40 power for 2 minutes, for 4 times, with 15 second breaks in between. That makes 8 minutes. It is usually pretty fricken steamy and hot when I am done with it.
Some helpful feedback would be greatly appreciated, thx!
Enjoy the pics... they were taken around week 2-3 of flower. They are the only pics Ive got.
