Does the Claw straighten out??

So, I have had some of my own issues with the claw. It's not so cool that claw. But yeah, I think I figured out what my issues were and fixed them. Only some of the leaves were clawing up--looks like a single generation or so. The new growth is coming in BEAUTIFUL and straight as a ruler. It's so awesome. And the oldest growth doesn't seem to be clawing up at all. But the fan leaves that clawed up, well, they aren't straightening out. Is this the way it's supposed to be? Or will they straighten out once I fix the problem?

They will either straighten out (except for the tips) or the plant will use them up and they'll drop off. Once leaves go to shit, they are usually gone; don't use them as a measuring stick for the health of the plant.

That clawingis usually caused by overfeeding. Without more info on what your're feeding, lights, etc. I can't be sure. They won't straighten, but they'll work normally for the plant, so I wouldn't remove unless their yellowing. Sounds like it's resolving but I'd flush them well stop feeding for a week and then resume normal feed/h2oing. Follow feeding instructions. GL HH

I think it was a heat issue in this case. I suppose it could have been overfeeding, though I tried to conservatively follow the instructions on the container. I have a purely aeroponic setup (net pots only -- no medium) and so problems usually become apparent pretty quickly. I think it happened when I had to go out of town for a week and the plants grew too tall.

I was mostly interested in seeing if they ever straighten out. Sadly, or happily depending on your perspective, it sounds like they do not.

Yeah, the new growth is furious and beautiful. Just entered flowering. Exciting times!
