I think its funny as hell, crypto attracts trumpers like a mosquito zapper. Makes me laugh when their money, that they want free of any government control/tax/protection/etc., gets stolen and becomes the legal equivalent of someone stealing your gold in a video game.

Shoulda just left crypto as a way to buy drugs on the internet. They just had to go make it stupid.

Edit: anyone else recall the before bitcoin days where people were buying gold online and using that in some weird way to make the exchange. It was complex and silly.

DC Bar Reinstates Ex-FBI Lawyer Who Admitted Altering Russia Probe Email
Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, who altered an email during the Russia investigation that was used to justify the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, has been reinstated as a member "in good standing" to the District of Columbia Bar Association, reports Real Clear Investigations.

Clinesmith pleaded guilty in August 2021 to falsifying the document during the early stages of the FBI's probe into Russia interference in the 2016 presidential election and potential ties to the Trump campaign.

He was sentenced to one-year probation and 400 hours of community service last January.

Clinesmith at the time said he was "ashamed" of his actions and apologized for harming the "institutions that I cherish and admire."

"I have a duty to take responsibility for my actions and mistakes," Clinesmith told the court.

The report published Thursday said the D.C. Bar didn't seek Clinesmith's disbarment and didn't initiate disciplinary hearings until February. He was eventually suspended pending a review and hearing.

The disciplinary counsel's office at the time said it did not "believe that there is sufficient evidence to prove moral turpitude on the facts." The office pointed to other attorney ethics cases where a lawyer received a one-year bar suspension for the submission of a falsified document to a U.S. agency.

I think Donald's overwhelming legal trouble and the 1/6 committee are gonna give Donald, his family, henchmen and minions a very shitty Christmas and an extremely expensive new year. This past week has been a little Christmas greeting from American patriots for them, a little something for them to think over and ponder, in terror, over the holidays. I'm pretty sure some of these assholes are gonna sweat bullets in anticipation of the new year.

I saw the legal scholar Lawrence Tribe on The Last word tonight lay out the case and crimes they committed, very serious time,. He also was putting the heat on Garland to do something, where is the FBI and DOJ in all this? The heat is mounting for action by the legal community, the public and the DOJ alumni, the recent revelations have caused a firestorm that will end up burning them down in the end. They are all Mitch's enemies too in the struggle for control of the GOP and he said he was "interested" in the hearings...
