Don’t buy seeds from growerchoiceseeds

These guys will get you real seeds for about 70 bucks but I know how to germinate seeds and there almost always a 25%-50% germination success rate which is terrible buying 5 seeds at a time. I’ve gotten about 5 different strains and there all bad. The tap root will pop and then stop growing…..

EXACTLY what I've had repeatedly from Nirvana seeds. They all germinate but out of ten, only one or two continue, the rest die. I think it's old seed not stored properly.

Hrrrm. Had a friend suggest them to me as an easy first step for my first grow. Had 4 out of 4 germinate just fine in soil. Of course, one grow and 4 seeds is really incidental/anecdotal in the grand scheme of things, I was pretty happy, given I expected to to have at least one or two fail as a first-timer.

That said, now I'm up and running and have some other ideas for future growing endeavors' sourcing.

Agreed. Poor germination rates. And big hermie problems from the plants that grow. Their autos never auto'd. Reached out to customer service and they didn't know where the seeds were sourced from or anything about growing imho. Avoid Growers Choice

What are some other good seed banks ? I know ILGM
Skip ILGM. Some domestic banks are Great Lakes Genetics, The Seed Source, Seeds Here Now...many more that others can fill in. A lot of us still order from Attitude, mainly for certain breeders that aren't available here-like Ace Seeds, Cannabiogen, Karma and a few other Euro breeders. Some reliable breeders, which you can order from directly or those domestic banks (some even from attitude) are, Cannarado, Cannaventure, Katsu (like manfredo said), Bhodi, AKBB, Top Dawg, Lucky Dog (all the Dogs really) and many more-look up the threads that cover those breeders directly and check out pics from the other growers here.

I tend to just buy directly from breeders I like. Cuts out the middle man.

I do that for the domestic guys, especially when the good sales come up. I just wanted to give him some options for good genetics. Considering the time, effort, and $$$ we put into a grow, it's good to start off with quality seeds when you're new.

If the taproot pops from the shell, how is that a bad seed?

No offense, but if the plant went south after germination, that's on the grower.

As another data point, I've purchased from GC and have had 100% success with germinating/growing.

Just popped a couple GC seeds a few days ago; tail sticking out of shell after 12 hrs in water, two days later a happy little sprout.

I've been buying from Nirvana Shop for over 10 tears with an almost 100% germination rate with feminized seed. Seedlings damping off is caused by a fungus or mold and has nothing to do with the seeds themselves.

That's nonsense. I've proved it by the fact that my own seeds from my own strains sown in the same medium have thrived while alongside them Nirvana seeds have begun and then stopped and died. Old seed does that. It expends all its energy to germinate and then can't continue. I can grow seed that is over 20 years old in the refri but Nirvana seed? No.

If you're looking for fast and healthy germination, head over to JBCSeeds.com, and find you something from AK Bean Brains. Hands down the fastest germinating seeds, sometimes by a couple days.
