double solo cups? leggy thin stems.

So i messed up and had a bunch of seedlings under a flouro that was up way too high, needles to say i have some leggy bitches now and it's my own dumb fault. I'm thinking of taking 2 solo cups and duct tape them together and cut off the top for a double cup, anyone ever do this? I know people bury the stems when they're lanky. They are tied now with a better circulation under a mh so hopefully the stretch is done. I'd just put them in pots but they're destined for outdoors.

Yeah illinelly, how much would you say is too far? Thanks. I was going to bury about 2.5 inches. they're so tall for such tiny plants, only a few days old lol.

U can bury it all the way up to the 1st set of leaves. If you need to go more, make sure you have exposed leaf sets to gather light. You can bury as much as possible. Just be sure to water the newly buried stem after you do it

Yeah unless your going to finish in these solo mutants I would just prop them up till you transplant then bury them otherwise its going to be a hassle and they won't produce roots on this stem inbetween the time you transplant just a waste of effort

I was wondering the same. I got a few babies in the window that are stretching. I font mind it. When I transplant I curl the stem n bury it. Strong solid base after a couple weeks
