Dr. Earth Question

I was recently, like last week, getting ready for my next grow……popped my auto seeds (last I had in my stock) in some water and went ahead and mixed up my soil with my Dr. Earth amendments and filled my grow bags. Long story short, none of the seeds germinated and now I’ve got 6 bags of hot mixed soil and nothing to go in them for a couple weeks until my order comes in.
How long will the soil stay charged, without adding water to it…it will be at least 3 weeks by the time the new beans arrive?

its a closed ecosystem so you wouldnt lose anything you should actually keep it damp so microbes can colonize it. as all the other growers who replied i too just add my organic inputs and wait for a while for the microbial activity to peak.

Hey I’m thinking of doing the same with my cocoa loco ocean forest mix will that be to hot?,cause usually I’ll just use the soil for 2 1/2 -3 weeks then use the dr earth. I’m only thinking of doing this is cause i usually use silo cup then 1 gallon 3 then five for final home I want a quick veg so I can start my perpetual grow back up. But I want to go from silo to 5 gallon

If you have the room and a little light, maybe start some cover crop type things in there to keep the soil activity up a bit. Plus all the roots will help down the road by adding to the soil structure and create small little channels for water to travel down after you chop it.

I've also had soil sit in totes for over a year and then go straight into pots with no problem. A little ewc or fresh compost always gives things a nice jump start though.
