Hi , I been messing around with some bag seed up until now. Ive had 2 successful grow's each with 2 plants, producing around 2oz per plant.

Growing areas consist of;

Cloning Tank - 2' long, 1' wide, x 1.5' tall. This is just an old tropical fish tank I recycled. I use the original water heater inside a 2l bottle within the tank. This raises the temperature and to a degree, the humidity as well. Tank is now sealed round with cardboard and gaffer tape to stop light escaping.

Veg Room - 5' long, 2' wide x 4.5' high. This was my first grow room. Its in my attic and I dont got much space in there! I have 2x fixed 65W tubes on the ceiling. There are a further 6x 13w,2' tubes in and around the room providing light to vital areas. The room has its own heater on stat, circl fan, prt sheeted in plain silver mylar.

Flowering Room - 8' long, 8' wide coming to an apex, 5' high. And there's 6 roof trusses in my way, lol! Needs must. This room is better kitted out with intake vents, extraction to carbon filter, 400W ds HPS, circulation fan, sides covered in diamond mylar and the ceiling in plain silver. I have a heater and stat in here too, but am awaiting delivery of an air-con unit.

Feeding - I use regular tap water in all instances, left to stand 24hr and brought to room temp. Nutrients are Vitalink by Hydrogarten for hard water and a io-bizz topmax supplement.

Where we are at.. I have just completed my second harvest and it wasn't long before I realised I could smoke it much quicker than i could grow the stuff. I put 3 plants to flower in May08 and re-vegged the best to become a mother. I was going all out SOG from here on!

I took my first 2 cuttings (they're in flower at the minute) and rooted them in domes in the veg room. Then I cut 6 more clones successfully (4 of them are in flower now 14 days, 2 were farmed out) and have 12 more clones rooting at present. Id like to put 4 to flower every month. Thats keeping them short with 10 days veggin max but that suits my room size.

Its my intention to try some new Jamaican seeds, but I need to wait cos I cant have them sprouting until this next batch of clones move out. I reckon ill put them to soil a week b4 month end. My strains are mysteries by the way so if anyone out there is good at this shit........

Ive got a mom and 3 generations at present basically.

DSCN0700.jpg

Generation A - 3 plants Flowering 47 days.
Ive got 2 cuttings I took myself (centre picture) and theres a kush (seed) plant away in at the back there on the right. Its too tall and im prepared to sacrifice that for the benefit of the rest.

Generation B - 4 plants Flowering 13 days.
My second try at cloning. I used the aquarium and 6 cuttings. They all rooted and I farmed 2 out to a mate. These are from my trust mom. I dont know what strain she is. Its got very large white buds

Thanks M8 beginning to think id fukd up the thread when i had no responses. The 4 newest clones in flowering have sprouted flower sites - lots and lots and lots of flower sites. These are going to be high yielding ladies. Ill take pics later.

Generation A 51 Days - Pics 1 and 2 Sativa, Buds are filling out well. starting to show some yellowing on the largest fan leaves. Pics 3 and 4 Indica is too tall and wasnt really that good a smoke last time round. hash project potentially.

Generation B 18 Days (All Sativa) - Pics 5 and 6 represent all 4 plants. Abundant growth with dozens of well formed flower sites. Already outgrown Gen A but there's good reasons for that ;)

Generation C -13 Days (Sativa) - Making their debut appearances in pics 7 (tank) 8 (veg) and 9. Check out the roots in pic 9!! :hump:

Grow Room Upgrade - My new a/c unit is working well. I dont think the girls will miss the 105 degree peaks on hot days!

DSCN0731.jpgDSCN0734.jpgDSCN0735.jpg

Damn it takes a long time to upload pics.

This is Generation A Day 1 Flowering, It had a poor start but I had to move them out of veg to make space for Generation B.

IMG_1094.jpgIMG_1095.jpg

Never in my dreams did I think they would turn into what they have. Thats 7 weeks into flower and I expect close to 2 oz combined from this pair.

This last pic is of Gen B Day 2 Flowering. There is quite a difference and I expect there to be a big difference in yield at the other end too. Fingers crossed

Dr BrownThumb is right - very nice attic conversion. Clean, tight and climate controlled - though i'll bet lugging all that water and supplies up there can be a pain :)

Plants are gorgeous! great job :leaf:

Thanks bhoys, your input is valued. Email, you're right. Thats my main issue now, water! theyre taking between 7 and 14 litres per night. I think im gonna plumb in a tap soon from my header tank supply. It shouldn't be too hard, just need to ensure no leaks. 7x2 litre bottles up a ladder is a pain in t ass.
Generation A is at 7.5 weks flower now so I could take one down at the weekend if necessary. It might be necessary, :joint:, lol. I was wanting to leave them longer this time to try and get the stonier hit. Think ill do one early to keep me going and ill leave the other almost to point of degradation.
I know the pics aren't the best but any ideas of strains I have in there? Its got me beat and its a bit embarrasing

and is this a hydro grow? how do you drain everything? man that must be a pain!

I honestly can barely tell a sativa and indica apart (unless they are really holding true to genotype) - wouldn't even hazard a strain guess (and it's not like i'd be able to tell anyway).

As long as they get you high and taste good - i'd say it was a good strain/genetics! :joint:

Hydro, hmmm sort-of, Nothing fancy, ebb n flow I think its called, lol.
I pour a litre on every evening and wait, top-up with more if reqd, until the water runs through. Every second watering has nutes added. My nutes are mild in terms of what other growers are using. I noticed actually using less water now I have better control of the room temp.

True mate, its soo hrd even holding a bud against the pc screen trying to compare to identify the strain. A mate thought it must be a cross between ww and bb because of its characteristics. I dont feel so lucky but it smells sooo sweet and an amazing smoke so im keeping this strain as long as I can!

Any idea how long you can keep a mom going. Mine turned purple and rigid a few weeks back but I think she's good for more cuttings?

From what i understand, mother plants can live for years. i personally don't clone since even little cuttings count as a plant ... legally speaking.

I dont think the feds will go any easier on me for using seeds and they are just too unreliable. If you order seeds you might raise more attention. HHMary just had an interception of seed and that has to make you sweat. Id love to have a seedbank on my doorstep, different strain each grow.

you have to pick a good bank with quality genetics - no doubt!
i use fem seeds and have no problems at all. and use a safe house for delivery but hey! - do what works for you and makes you comfortable.

I love these tubes. I tell everyone to get them. Perfect for clones and moms. You could even flower if you put the red bulb in there.

Thanks for popping in edux10, all stoners welcone + im a west-coaster too ;) Yeah I like the tubes, they are low cost, easy to move around and ideal for moms and clones. I copped a bit of flak over them in the past but results speak for themselves. I have never seen red tubes for them. Do you really think they could promote good flowers. I tried with my first crystal grow using this cab and buds were so small I had to get me an HPS. Cab1 was too small so I had to expand the empire.

Wee picture update on Generation A - 55 days Flowering. They're fattening up and smelling sweet. Tried again to get decent trich shots but, well... see for yourselves. Must try harder next time.
