Sens I'm not sure yet.. kinda lost track of where we're at in the whole cycle. I think we're getting there tho. I'm on the 2nd to last week of nutes, and I think I'll just flush the last week anyway. You kinda of have to look at when the hairs change color tho, don't you?

Some people go by the hairs. I like going by the trichs, but all my buddies here on RIU go by the 'look' of the plant. I still don't know what that 'look' is so I just check the trichs with a microscope from radio shack. I like to cut when I see any amber trichs, as I like a more 'up' high. Other's who like the hard hitting, knock you down stone wait till there are a lot of amber. Not sure if that helps, but it's what I got, lol.

I think your schedule sounds about right... don't really think you can go wrong at this point with those nice plants you've grown. Just don't dry them in the oven or something... that would be bad, lol.

I gotta say for a first grow... they are sooooo frosty. You should be proud.

Yup trichs is the way to go. Hairs change colors way too early. Going by look you will sometimes get too late or too early. Yup for a first grow they look spectacular.

Can I just say that I'm so excited? THe GF came up last night after I'd had the cab open to check on the plants and said "Whoooeee it smells dank up here."

She doesn't even smoke.

:) :) :)

Do you have a 20x magnification lens/loupe ron? if not time to order one now :) Got mine 40x for < $10 on ebay. Shit you told your GF Ron? Now you're gonna have to marry her ;)

I don't have one but my buddy has like 3 different ones at different magnifications and I think he's coming over tonight to check on the progress. Excited to get his opinion. I'm gonna get spoiled if he ever moves... having "the guy at the hydro store" as a neighbor 20 feet away is very nice.

Sweet Ron :) I'm sure he'll like'm. They don't look fully mature yet but getting there -- you're at the fattening up stage now :) Buds fully formed, just putting on weight. Also the stage a lot of people get excited and chop them early :)

Nice neighbor to have for sure. My wife doesn't smoke either but has learned to appreciate the dank, lol. Good women.

Well I have definitely found that the tent / LED flourowing combo doesn't make for much light penetration thru the canopy. Even with alllthe trimming I did I still think I could have taken off the underside 6" of plants no problem. A lot of those leaves have just curled up and died because its really dark down there and the plants have made a ton of buds that are all fluffed out and that I'll probably use for hash.

To that end, however, I plucked off one of these little underling buds to be the ambasador for the drewberry and the GF agreed to help me in testing it's potency ;) I know the plants aren't cured or fully mature yet but I dried the bud with her hair dryer and left it out overnight to dry and we just smoked it.

I'll report back in a bit with results! :joint: :hump:

The Neighborhood Expert came over and confirmed. Last week of weak nutes then a 3 day flush... t minus 10 days till choppage. Is a 3 day flush long enough; JigFresh the said you flush for a week? or was it two weeks? I don't want any harsh smoke!

Also he was guessing yield at 4 ounces, so thats cool.. the buds are definitely bigger than they look here on the ol internets ;) Excited to do some purely-for-the-sake-of-vanity trimming and a final photoshoot out in some good light before I chop them. They are so pretty!

I'd say 4 ounces is a small estimate, but good to guess low, then you won't be disappointed. I'd think more like 7 oz or something.

And regarding flush, I never feel like I've flushed long enough. Personally I don't see the point in packing the nutes at the end, or giving them any really. As long as they are still green, they should have enough to get them to the end. If it were my grow I'd flush now, with water and zone (or whatever you are using on the GH side). I'd also be really happy if it were my grow... because I just came down with a case of powdery mildew which is causing me to chop early, which makes me sad. :(

Get ready for how much trimming sucks, lol. It's totally fun for about an hour... then sucks for hours and hours after that. Get some spring loaded scissors, a must have. I feel like we already went through this so sorry if I'm repeating myself. A tiny dab of olive oil, or veg oil will take sticky off your hands, or you can use gloves like some people do. I also use a little head lamp thingy, to help illuminate the subject.

Can't wait to see what they look like. Got any new pics?

Pics pics pics

I just suck the sticky off my hands

I am loving all LED so far... so far it seems like I'm getting good results and the people who didn't just did something wrong... we'll see. I'm going to be psyched if I can get decent grams/watt from these without needing supplemental HID.

And finally....... the freak of the weak.

Yes, apparently, that is a budding fan leaf. I grew a mutant and I couldn't be prouder. Jig: So sorry about the powder, that is >:( Sens: LED all the way bro! t-minus 10 days...

Very nice!! Looking forward to seeing what you yield. Oh yeah, I had another guy say he needs to supplement with cal-mag for his led grows - i see the classic yellowing in some of your leaves -- you might want to consider adding a bit extra in in future grows under your led. So far my supersoil seems to be providing them what they need for my flowering plants, but I think I am seeing it in one of mine that is not in super soil.
