Drooping Bottom Leaves.

the bottom six leaves on two of my five plants are drooping dramatically and overnight one has gone from healthy green to shriveled and yellow. on another plant the top new growth is coming in with yellow in the middle, unlike any others. what can this be from? the temps did go up a little overnight but still only reached about 85. humidity is kind of low around 40%. please help, i am so close to cloning, they cannot die on me now.

Sounds like you over watered them, mostly anything eles, you would see discoloration in the leaves. How often do you water them?

PHOSPHORUS (P) Slow or stunted growth, red stems. Smaller leaves that are dark green. Lower leaves yellow and die. Add chemical fertilizer containing P. Affected leaves will not show recovery but new growth will apear normal.
NITROGEN (N) Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week.Sounds like a fertilization issue.

soil. didnt pH the water and I havent watered in a few days so i dont believe its overwatering. they looked perfect and then BOOM doomsday struck. im going to leech the soil out tomorrow and give them some nutrients with P and N in it. the stems for the fan leaves are straight up flimsy now while the other plants are strong and rigid. some are still green just completely drooping. others are yellow and crispy (overnight mind you.) this shit is whack.

This happened to my plants and all but one died, the other one is still alive but has totally stopped growing

Hope you get it sorted out

Deviations in ph levels often affect elements solubility.

Remember fertilizers are normally acidic and lower the ph of the nutrient solution. But nutrient solution is still taken in by plants and water transpires and evaporates into the air which causes the ph to climb.

Stabilize the ph of the water before adding fertilizer.

Make a correction if readings vary one half point.

Buy ph up and ph down rather than making your own from concentrated acids. Commercial mixes are buffered and safe to use.

Hope that helps.

so i should buy pH up and down and also some premixed nutrients cuz they are pH buffered already? how should i test pH with a soil grow? test the runoff?

You can test with an EC/ph meter or with test strips both can be purchased at your local store. I would test the soil and the run off - at times the numbers differ. You want to shoot for balance.
