Drug Tested for Walmart Distribution Center

I just took a drug test for a job at the walmart DC and I wondering what the likelihood is of me passing. I'll give you a little history, I hadn't smoked for about two to three months, then on a friday I smoked about 1 - 1.5 joints, the following friday I took a piss test at a lab at about 4pm. I drank about one gallon of water, a cup of coffee and a rockstar energy drink (not necessarily in that order) earlier on the day of the test. I'm a male, 5'8" in height and weigh about 184lbs. I really need this job, what do y'all think the odds are that I passed it? I should find out the results in 7-10 days.

And please don't hijack the thread with admonishments for me to get a REAL education.

Should've worked out as well. I never had to ever test but if it were me and I was in this situation, considering you didn't smoke for 3 months or so, but I don' believe you did all you could to flush, or you didn't mention it,.just said all you did the day of it.

I would go get a home test real quick, so if you pass that, at least feel a tiny relief at least.

You will be fine. One joint will not show up because of the nannogram requirement to rule out false positives. Besides, it's Walmart, I think they are looking for tweekers, pill poppers, junkies, and coke heads (higher likelihood of theft to support a habit). I would be stunned to find out over half the employees are not regular users.

I used to smoke a couple joints a month when I was on probation and I never came up dirty. You are fine.

In the circumstances you describe you were below the 50 microgram limit for the THC metabolite which they test for. You see, they don't test directly for the THC itself but the metabolite which your body processes THC into. For a regular say weekend smoker or maybe say a 2-3 times a week smoker it would take approx. 30 days clear for your metabolite test readings to fall below the 50 microgram limit, but given the fact that you were 2-3 months without a smoke up to a week before the test, then there is a likelihood that you will be clear. One smoke of a small amount taken by someone who is already clean will clear itself from the body within 3-5 days. I know this because I get tested regularly and randomly at my work and took the precaution years ago of buying a few test kits online and monitored my own recovery time, the above info is true and is supported by evidence. For anyone else reading there are a few basic things you can do if tested.--drink plenty of water, in the usa they can refuse a sample for being too diluted, but it all buys time and the dilution works none the less, eat a few bananas along with plenty of water, the bananas will add potassium to your urine and give it a yellow tinge. ----don't give them the first part of your urine stream or the last part but give them the sample from the middle of your urine flow. --eat something regularly in the hours leading up to the test. ----- in your own circumstances if true as you describe then there is a good chance you will pass. The poster above who said work out is spot on as well, the more exercise you do the more of the THC metabolite stored in your lipid tissues will be burned off. Good Luck.

if people are unsure of passing a drug test why dont they just go a local pharmacy and buy a drug test kit go home and test, then you know the results .

1) Now you know wether to bother going for the test at this time,save you time and a chance of being black listed from the company you are seeking to work for.

2) the only sure way to beat a test is by using clean urine.

3) I have used this method over 20 time , clean urine in a condom

wrap a handwarmer (the ones you shake and they get hot) over the condom.

put down pants,now these get to hot so only 15 to 20 min to get a simular reading to body temp,so after that just pull it off.

so now go through the usual motions of taking a piss .but you pull out the condom and with your other hand prick it with a pin ,that I place through my pants around my pocket area ,so its all a seemless natrual motion ,even if you are being watched the codom passes 100%.

next time use fake piss

OK everyone, I just wanted to give you an udpate. I got a call this morninig from the Walmart DC to setup the orientation. They said that they would only call me to do this once the results were back from the background search and the lab. I said something to the effect of, "Wow they got the results already?" She said, "Yeah, sometimes they get done pretty quick." To which I replied, "SWEET!" (That last part was said in my mind only, as it wouldn't have been very professional to express my excitement so. ) Anyways I am thrilled and even put in my notice to my other job today! Thanks for the input.
