Dry Ice for c02

yep, the dry ice provides cold mechanical tumbling in a container of dried buds is all, its got nothing to do with the c02 from the dry ice. the cold keeps the herb crispy so the trichomes break off easily. the dry ice smashes the leaves to small enough bits that fit through your screen and contaminate your stash. ice water bag hash is better/higher quality/more control and cheaper.

a dry tumble is the best trichome capture I've had, check amazon for "pollen shaker"

and dry ice to make c02 is stupid expensive in a grow room, not a viable source

I built my own tumbler. Set it and forget it. Love it. I think op is asking if you can produce co2 using dry ice.

I initailly was talking about flowering with dry ice in the room. To bump up the c02 levels. Not hash.
forgive me, I'm old.

I believe dry ice for c02 production is like gasoline to make electricity. you can buy c02 cheaper, and it cost me twice as much cash daily to power up my estate with gasoline generators. I've done it, once we lost power for two weeks! I didnt miss a beat though, ac in house and garden, wash/dry, no worries. wish natural gas was here....

you could alternatively brew mash in your tent, for wine or beer, and you'd be surprised, but it stinks too.....so..

forget it, do it right or you're wasting your time. you need a bottle or generator and monitor
There is a video on youtube of some guy using dry ice in an MMJ grow room to create CO2. Yeah it is waste of time from what I can tell.

If you want a 4 burner generator using propane - this is the best deal I have seen. Free shipping and great service. $261

You can usually find the CO2 tanks, like a scuba tank, on craiglist used for $75 bucks or so. A regulator on eBay for $32.

yep, I'm prepared, with two large gens, run on gasoline. one for my all electric home and one for my all electric garden. garden and panel is gen ready with plug on the outside of each building.

Both of which have ac units often in use during summer months. I bought them new, figured be stupid to buy something that wont do the complete job right? did the math, purchased accordingly

I find it odd when people trip over dollars to pick up nickels, like using dry ice to produce c02 for their marijuana plants.
Like spilling beer out to return the 10 cent bottles for the cash.

When in my last house for 8 years I lost power never, so yeah, weird to some, not so much for others. Imagine my demise when we got the country with no generators ! And then when my garden went out for the first time without a generator, then when I shopped and saw how expensive it was to be prepared, just to grow marijuana. For the last ten yrs we've lost power every year here, summer, winter no matter
I'm surrounded by 100 foot pine trees 350 feet off of the road here in the middle of the forest, at the end of some electrical line. last one for power restore even when neighbors are back on. 2016 I lost power only for 6-7 daytime hour in august. Always worried about winter time of course but this year been fine so far.

LOL, you can get a portable water heater on ebay for just over $100 and that's a water cooled Co2 generator made by the same company in china as many expensive generators. Same model, only different covers!

Deal straight with the gas suppliers and get 75lb tanks. Tell them your welding.

Thanks for the tips bro. Do you have a link to water heater on ebay?? All I see are tankless water heaters. Thanks.

my first was a store bought model, water cooled. I used a 55 drum outside of the room 1/4 full of antifreeze. I like it alot but the cost of running the pump pissed me off so I got another, with a pilot on all the time, I manage the heat now, and like this one better.

It took me a second to realize this was a reworked hot water/on demand unit like Dr Who mentions. I did feel better though when I learned of the add on redundant safety controls installed by the sticker putter onner of the unit.

I know this thread is old but it came up on my google search for using dry ice as a C02 supplement.

I have access to unlimited supply of dry ice, we literally thaw hundreds of lbs a day at work from returns. I grabbed about 40 - 50lbs today and cant find a single video on how to use it properly.

My flower tent is small, 4x2x6. If you had access to unlimited supply od dry ice, how would you use it?
