Dry ice inside washing machine?

I have tossed around the idea of adding a few smaller chunks of dry ice during the spin to keep temps at a minimum and not slow down the agitation from overloading ice. I know dry ice will turn into a gas until density falls below water, but have any of you tried this?

A little bit of dry ice will probably just evaporate quickly in the much warmer water. And too much dry ice will turn your water into a solid block of ice. I use dry ice for making hash in bubble bags but with no water.
