During the drying process is it recommended, mandatory, or irrelevant, that the drying room be completely
dark during the drying period?

Light and heat degrade thc, terps etc.

As much as possible i keep it in the dark.

If you cant you cant.

I don't recomend drying next to a blaring grow light

Using the black garbage bag method will allow you to hang your plants in your grow/filtered room

Can I dry in my tent? And should I keep it closed or open.

Tents are good but always have air flowing thru the room. Not over the buds but kind of circulating into and out of the tent with a small inline fan bringing in fresh air. You can keep it closed this way also. I often dry in my tent with a very low inline fan blowing thru a small filter. Keeps the tent air fresh and no smell coming out.
