Drying up leaves at the bottom of the plant

My plant is now about 9 weeks old and about 50 inches high.
The top of the plant is healthy but about ten leaves at the bottom look like this.
Any thoughts on what can cause this?

That looks kind of a small pot for a 50" plant. What I would do is clean off the damaged leafs. They appear to be all fan leafs at the bottom. Without seeing the rest of the plant It looks like they should come off anyhow. It could be that it's time to do a little defoliation. Please don't act on what I say, I'm not confident on this, but it's just what I see.
