Drying whole plant or branches?

I've had good luck with both styles of drying. If your environment is a bit drier maybe go for the whole plant. I keep my area around 60%RH so there ws a slightly slower dry whole than with the individual branches. Do what works for you.

Depends on your environment. If you can't get to 58% rh..... hang whole plant to slow down the process, it's not going to hurt anything even if it takes 18 days or more for it to dry. It's all about slowing it down, and you do that by a cool environment,(65 degrees or so) and 58-60% rh during the first week.. you can then drop your rh to 53-55 for another week or more if hanging whole. Airflow should be minimal. You just want to see the hangers barley moving around. No direct air on them. ... just a slow flow moving around.
Branches will dry faster.... and I prefer this myself to cut down the possibility of mold during the dry process.

I'm in the boat of "depends on environment". If I'm under 60% humidity and it's above 75f I'll hang the whole plant with all its leaves to prolong the dry a bit. If it's 65%/ above and cooler, I'll do a rough wet trim and hang individual colas. Whatever giver me a 10 day or above dry and I'm happy.
