Dual Chamber Grow Cabinet

Intro

Well I've been on a bit of a journey the past couple months doing my first grow and moving from grow box to grow box. I've learned an infinite amount from RIU and I think I'm ready to get a perpetual grow going. Finally I've built myself a semi-legit grow cabinet and I'm about 2 weeks out from my first harvest. I have my first grow documented in a journal over in the CFL forum but I figure I'm starting this part of my grow so I wanted a new journal. I germ'd five seeds, 4 are in soil, 1 seed I'm experimenting with hydro. These seeds were found in some very impressive mexican dirt weed, probably some of the best smoke I've had with seeds. Let's see how this goes!

Grow Cabinet
Veg and Flower Chamber - Veg about 1 ft height Flower about 2 ft chamber
Veg Lights - 1 26w 6500k CFL
Flower Lights - 1 65w 2700k CFL, 1 42w 2700k CFL, 1 32w 2700k CFL, 1 26w 6500k CFL
Ventilation - 3 80mm fans, 1 120mm fan.
Soil - FFOF
Hydro - Passive hydro setup (hempy pot) until moved to DWC setup.
Nutes - Hydro will be using GH nutes

I'm really baked so I'm sure I'm missing alot but I'll come back and get it later. Feel free to criticize, insult, or belittle at any time! Always up for learning.

Went out of town for an unexpected length of time. Long story short, 2 survived.

Soil seems to be growing a bit faster.

Fox Farm is like growing for dummies.

Temps too high for the poor little hempy pot.

Thank you sir. This is how I ghetto grow! Moved over to a makeshift dwc setup for now because that perlite was just not doing the trick. Very good root ball had formed, but as you can see in comparison to it's soil counterpart, vegetative growth is very minimal.

Update: After only a few hours in the dwc setup the little one seems to be much happier.

You can see how much better the seedling is doing in the DWC setup after just one day. Put some superthrive in there which seemed to help. The other seedling got a light dropped on it and is now deformed/missing limbs. I love bud.

are you using nutes?

i dropped my plant on its face one time, and it came right back, dont worry its a weed!

I'll use flower nutes. I don't veg for very long my cabinet isn't that big, and I use Fox Farm soil anyway so I don't feel I need to. For DWC I'm using the GH trio.

DWC looks like she is wanting to catch up to soil.
