Dumb newbie question about photoperiod

I just want to thank everyone who so patiently responded to my initial question. I have learned a lot just from this one thread. There are dozens of online forums about cannabis cultivation, but this one strikes me as one of the best.

Ummm no, this forum is one of the busiest for sure but it also has the most members who have actually no idea wtf is going on. So much misinformation its comical.

You want to see some.pros at work? People mixing their own nutes, pulling 2.5 a light? Go check out thcfarmer.com.

They can start showing sex, but won't go over to flowering until you reduce the light to flowering.

As far as 24 hours of darkness?? perhaps reduced light 12/12? I mean it never goes 24 darkness in the Sun.

I would guess they are just making sure the plant understands now is the time to make flowers and survive.

You ever notice how tiger lillies on the bright side bloom first and those on the dark side take longer?

I mean nature knows when it's time based on light for everything.
