Dutch Passion Master Kush grow

watered with tap water that i let set out in a bucket for a couple of days. tds of 90. ph of runoff 6.4. light feeding of gobox nutes(2 ml grow, 1 ml of the rest in 1/2 gallon of water). continuing lst'ing. the lower branches are spreading out over the pot. i figure by week 5 i will have all the real estate of the pot covered and it is time to start letting them grow upward.

4 and a half weeks since planting. not sure when to say they started vegging but i am going to say 3 weeks of veg. installed a carbon filter and high velocity exhaust fan the other day as they are beginning to make my house smell a bit like i am growing skunks in the basement...

and so i am keeping track for future grows, i changed the light cycle to 22 on/2 off. i want to be at 18/6 for a week before flowering which i figure is about 2 and a half weeks off the way these are growing. i have 4 10000 k HO 4 ft t5 bulbs going now. i am contemplating swapping in a 2700 k bulb(flowering spectrum) next week and then another the following week to simulate the approach of fall. anyone tried this or think it is just over-thinking things? i will be finishing with 3 of the 2700 k bulbs and one 10000 k uva bulb. i used the uva bulb on my first grow and had really crystally budage and very potent smoke. the buds were not particularly dense but i am growing with t5's so i get what i pay for, right?

Personally ive always thought backing off the hours like that was too much hassle. I start at 18/6 and they show sex about a month in. Then straight to 12/12 with not problems. Ive never had a plant herm or freak out while switching to 12/12 so youre good just givin em 18/6 until theyre ready to flower.

i started them off just blasting them 24 hours a day. backing the hours down isn't too bad for me. i have a timer that is quick to reprogram and i am out of town for a few days a week anyway so when i am home, i like to tinker/meddle. i do like the idea of seeing their sex in about a month though. got lucky last time and had no males out of 5 seeds sown. i do recall them showing before i switched to 12/12 but they were slow growers compared to these 2. not sure what i am doing right this time

5 weeks from planting the seeds. i did my final tie down (i think) today and am planning on letting them grow up and out now as the branches pretty my cover up the pot. the main trunk on both plants is about a half inch in diameter. i also gave them some nutes today(about 2/3 of what gobox recommends) along with a bit of molasses. i have been watering them heavily each time i water but wait a couple or a few days between waterings. i also decreased the light period again to 21 on 3 off as i am tapering down. i will be at 18/6 by next week and will stay there until i decide to switch to 12/12, probably at 7 weeks from seed which i think will be 5 weeks of vegging. they are just getting big quickly and i think they at least double in size during flowering so i will need the space.

since i still can't leave well enough alone, i put in a fan with more flow for better air movement inside the tent and 2 42 watt(150w equivalent) 2700 kelvin bulbs today.

Whatch out with those 42s ive had those and i think 54s and they get hot after a while and will melt the base a little and come loose. Theyll still work but its scary and you feel like theyre gonna catch the place on fire haha. You should be good with that extra fan though.

YIKES! I am going to go cop a feel on them now. I actually used them for my first grow and they worked though i never did try to check them for heat...

Theyre not too bad for the first few weeks but i noticed once we got into the last 2-3 weeks of flower they were barely hanging on. That was after about 2 and a half months of growth before that.

these plants are drinking a lot! both pots were pretty dry today. gave each plant about a gallon and a half of lightly nuted water in the tub so they'd drain nicely. pots seem uniformly damp now. rotating the plants when i look at them because the cfl's i have in there are shining on the side of each plant so i am trying to give all sides a bit of the 2700 kelvin spectrum.

six weeks from planting the 'beans'. i have done a little super cropping to each plant. my plan is to try a scrog after seeing stoneslackers grow(https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/630714-stoneslackers-new-250w-micro-hempy.html) but i have been out of town the last few days. hope to get some mat'ls tomorrow for the scrog. i have changed the lighting to 12/12 and have replaced two f the 10000 K t5's with 2700 K t5's as of today since they are getting big and i don't have a lot of vertical space. i also gave them some full strength go box nutes. 3.5 gallons split between them. they were pretty dry. the cat is being an a hole and chewing on the leaves...

mat'ls for the scrog are nearly all assembled. need to complete it today as these plants are starting to stretch out. probably the 2700 k lights. right? i hope to see some indication of sex soon. the good news is no balls yet. the bad news is nothing at all yet... will post some new pics later when i get the scrog all set up. pain the the butt having to wait for the lights to come on...

the scrogging has begun! i used 1/2 inch pvc tubes and an old soccer net from a crappy kids playset. once the canopy fills in, i think i am supposed to trim some of the under brush. still no flowering signs but i guess i should probably calm the f down and relax...

7 weeks from 'plantage de beanos'. scrog is going ok(ithink). there is a small issue with one branch(see pics). the branch in question is close to a knot on the main stem where i supercropped the plant prior to setting up my screen. could that be why the leaves look all fucked up? the rest of the plant looks normal. i just gave gobox bloom nutes at normal-ish strength. still not seeing a real telltale sign of female but not ball sacs either(bad news/good news) @ 1 week into 12/12. i think i went to 2700 k t5's too quickly as they seem to be stretching out a bit. my tent is getting a bit chilly(71-72 deg F) during the light period so i turned down the exhaust fan. may need to put a small heater in there. the plants aren't the dark green i see on a lot of journals or that i saw on my last grow for that matter. i know dark green is a sign of nitrogen being too high but do i want the darker green or since they are growing happily, should i just chill the f out and let them grow? i also started to clear out the under brush as there isn't much light getting down there.

swapped out one 10000 kelvin t5 lamp for a uva t5 bulb. gave full strength gobox flowering nutes. the runoff was a bit acidic(6.2) probably have to adjust that next time though i don't really see anything that looks like they are locking out nutrients. the tent seems to have heated up a couple degrees (74 f) since i slowed the exhaust fan down. i am hoping this time next week i will have some nice white pistils showing all over the place...
