DWC - Mephistos Wedding - Plants look droopy

Hi guys,

second time trying DWC. This time I try to rely on beneficial bacteria. I sprouted the seeds in eazy plugs and put them into eazy blocks. Then put them into the DWC setup. There is no layer of pumice underneath the eazy blocks and they might be too wet because of the splash zone. I originally planned to put them with the eazy plugs into the setup to have some sort of space between the spalsh zone and the eazy plugs but I had to use the bigger plugs afterwards and then there was no space left inside the netpot.

Light: Mars Hydro SP3000
Box: 120x60x180 cm
Setup: 80 liters reservoir
Nutrients: T.A. CalMg, Canna A+B, Canna PH - (Bloom)
PH: 5.8
EC: 0.85
Water Temps: 20-21°C
Room Temps: 22-24°C
Beenies: Similiar recipe as Heisenberg tea

You guys have any idea why they might look droopy?

BR,
Florian Grower

How do I know if the light is too close? I have heared that plants turn the leaves down when the lights are too close but to be fair there can be several reasons they turn the lights down. I have not much experience with that light but it was about 60% (100% = 300 Watts) and 30 cm distance.

Changes happen fast enough. Here's a picture of my grow with pretty much the same setup. Using megacrop and a viparspectra p1000 in veg and a p2000 in flower. I got same temperatures as you water and room. I don't even use baskets anymore. They get cloned and grown.

I think they let their leaves hang a little less. I also noticed a little inside clawing of the leaves and they seem to be darker around the edges and between the veins.

I was thinking about too much nitrogen. My nutrient mix is like the following: 0.2 EC base tap water -> CalMg until 0.4 EC and then 75ml Canna Aqua A+B to EC of about 0.8-0.9. Then adjust PH to 5.8 and add beenies. The recommendation of the Canna Chart is 1.1-1.4 but they don't seem to be lacking of nutrients. Since my reservoir is very big (about 80 liters for 3 plants) it is hard to tell in the early stage if the EC is balanced out or if it is too high or too low. I know that normaly you just adjust the EC to the plants needs but it seems stable at 0.8 for 3 days, but as I said that could be because of the big reservoir.

I'll attach the pictures in a minute.

Interesting to say the least, they do look pretty healthy !

I would maybe agree on the O2... what kind of air circulation is in there ?

Right now I have one fan running for 15 minutes on and off and an exhaust fan. Inside the reservoir is a bio filter that creates turbulance and filters some of the particles as well as a 28L/Minute air pump ( Medo Nitto Kohki LA-28 ) with 12 air stones attached.

Should be good enough I would say, I guess it depends on the intake for the exhaust but where about is your fan and what percentage of setting is it on like out of 10 ?

My blowing fan is about 50% and not directly pointed on the plants (small one I think about 20 at Watts 100%). The exhaust is at about 25% since they are still quite small. I think it changes the air inside the tent every 2-3 minutes or so.

Welp, my original thought it was maybe too much on them as I did have this issue once. I would say if anything it would be strength over amount of time the fan runs. I currently run my fan 24/7 and have not had a issue, the girls love it !
