DWC-SCROG 150w Cabinet

Alright, I got the system up and running!

The seeds are in rockwool and I will get the hydroton in tomorrow.

I will be veging with 162 watts of CFLs and then once it comes time to flower I will be using a 150w HPS.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to actually put the HPS inside the cabinet or cut a square in the top for it to get an extra 5 inches of space.

I'll just have to wait and see once I actually get the HPS. Like the title says, it will be a SCROG, you can see the frame is up but I won't put the wire in till they get to the appropriate size.

This is not my first indoor grow, but it is my first hydro!

Oh and the pot with the plastic bag on it is my first attempt at a clone off one of my outdoors girls.
 
Keep us posted, Im also doing a small cabinet grow for my 1st hydro, although im growing 3 plants and using a true 500 watts of cfl's. Im currious to see how scrog works out in a cabinet. I was thinking of trying SOG myself since I have plenty of head room but not a lot of square footage.
 
this is a newly cut clone, I guess my other clone wasn't getting enough air because it was in soaking soil that had poor drainage.

So I decided to take the seed from the RW that hasn't even germinated yet and put in a new clone.

Oh yeah and the HPS should be here next week and then I will decided whether I want to put it on the top or on the inside of the cabinet. So far I'm thinking I'll cut a hole in the top cause then I could have better cooling efficiency with the light, the plants would stay that much cooler, and I would have more room for buds!
 
It's a white russian clone and a Power Plant seedling. I have yet to have a successful clone though, hopefully this will be the one.
 
Looking good bro, only recommendation I would have is either put up some mylar or paint your walls a more even and complete white. Good Luck !

I cut a few tips, but not a lot.

I've read mixed reviews though.

If this clone doesn't make it, I'll just have to get another from my dispensary. I do like the white russian though.

Yeah I've got some mylar I will put up for the HPS for flowering. I'm not too worried about losing lumens with the CFLs during veg since they have a limited range as it is.

Sometimes I cut some sometimes I don't. Really isn't a factor in my cloning. I use anti wilt spray so they don't need the dome to begin with.
 
Looking good, I bought 2 $3 space blankets from walmart and a can of spray adhesive and lined my whole closet. Turning the whole cabinet into a giant reflector is gonna help those lower leaves a lot.

Honestly I'm not worried about lower leaves since I'm doing SCROG, but I'll take your advice anyways since I happen to have some spray adhesive that's just sitting around.

Here's how it's going to go down...

I'll veg the last week or so with the HPS just to experiment. I've heard they do just fine for veging for short times.

The rack is just sitting on the shelf mounts, it's a perfect fit. So with the HPS on the top(outside) that will give me a lot more room to flower and more efficient cooling.
 
LOL did you take your Screen form your freezer? ( Im an appliance repair tech).

Yeah im leaning towards SCROG myself but I figured for $10 and half an hour It couldnt hurt to mylar line the cabinet.

I veg under my 600 HPS when ever availabe. Works great. These were vegged from seed under it:blsmoke:
