I want to make a Sea Of Green garden with 4 DWC systems.

I want to veg for one week from clone and then flower so I have many single cola plants.

My question :

How big of a container do I need to produce a pound per container ?

how big is your space? what kind of lighting will you use? 1g/watt of HID lighting is doing well at growing weed, so to get 450g you'd need minimum of 450 watts, either HPS or MH, although HPS seems to be more efficient in growing from start to finish. Apart from that, number of plants is mostly space related. Aeroponic-wise you can build a stinkbud fencepost system in a larger area, or a simple res with a pump and sprayers in it. You want a DWC, so go with the 1-3L/plant general rule. Large single cola plants will result from manipulation of all factors including heat and humidity. I'm hoping to pull 400g out of my aero grow, and im using a 400w hps.

It's honestly a product of your environment. I'd go with a 600 watt high pressure sodium light to try for a pound. I grew a qp in an 18 gallon container but now i've got a new setup with a single plant in a 2 liter container. I'm basically doing what you're talking about. my containers are 4.5' square and take up hardly any space.

To answer your question:

I'd go with 16-32 plants. if you yield 1/2 ounce per plant you'd need 32 and 1 ounce per plant 16. It's all a product of your environment. What you can produce.
I don't reccomend dwc with 20 plants in one container unless you use a thick lid because it will be a disaster when you change your res. I know from exp.
You need to master heat, humid, light, nutrients to obtain the best results and if you add co2 at 1500ppm you will increase your yield.

good luck!

I am pretty sure if you start flower 1 wk after cloning that you won't get 1oz per plant.. most likely 1/2 oz per plants... so 32 plants to give you a pound.. and keep them in 4inchs net pots.. maybe 6-8 plants per 18gal buckets...

But beleive me if ur going to grow a lot of plant in many DWC systems then you wan;t those system linked to a single reservoir... it's called recycled dwc... thats what i am doing here cause it would be a pain in the A** to have the proper level of nutes, ph and water everyday in multiple tubs...

I appreciate all the good ideas and knowledge. I am going to start shopping around for supplies and go from there. I have a 12' x 4' x 6' area
