DWC to Flood & Drain

So I have a fllood and drain table for flowering but due to limited space can't really put a veg table up. I do have enough room for a DWC for veg but was wondering about transferring from DWC to F & D because of the root exposure. I know I can just cover the table and stop light leaks, but my question is:

Should I expect any negative repercussions with that much root exposed on a table? If so, does anyone have any solutions?

You'd have to set the pot on top of all those roots. You should think about going E&F -> DWC. That'd be the way to do it my fiend.
