earliest i can forceflower

What is the earliest possible age/height i can force a plant to begin flowering? I basicly want to grow the smallest plant in least amount of time just to get a feel for what the process requires on a slightly larger scale. I dont want to grow big, just do a test run and then after completion do maybe 2 or 3 small plants just for fun. I dont really care about yield and dont plan to sell any of it.

How long would it take to flower/harvest a very small young plant?

Theoretically a plant can be forced to flower at any age. even if its just been planted. 12/12 photoperiod can be induced at anytime. ANYTIME. which means a plant would be ready to cut down in 9 weeks (depends on the strain). basically 2 months with all of it in 12/12

How would you go about giving it nutes and so fourth? I would like to do that. lol

Any rough estimate on how much bud would come from something flowered at, oh say 3 inches tall? I still want to put it through some vegetative cycle just a very short one, maybe a week or two. I just dont want to end up with a bud the size of a peanut.

depends on the environment and lights you are using and strand..but i mean dont expect a massive yield a peanut size bud is all you might get..plants usually double and triple in size during the flowering process...so if you grow it 3 inch 6 to 9 inches..not but bud eh?

Doing everything right, if the plant was flowered at about three inches tall, it should be about anywhere from six to nine inches, maybe more, and should yield at least seven grams.

I did it once. The plant was 6-7 inches tall maybe two three grams. It looked great but being an impatient teen i smoked it way too soon. I grew it outdoor in latefall long long time ago

you can flwer from seed though i don't advice it.You are far better getting them at least a couple of ince high you won't get much of a plant of that size unless you are growing like the dvd grow more buds 200/300 small plants.let them grow alittle it will be far more worth it.

hmm well i planned on putting a cfl about 3 inches above each plant, for the whole life of the plant. Looks like i'd need to let them veg for at least 2 weeks to get a decent yield in proportion to time anyways. Bare minimum.

Whats the massive r-u-s-h? 2 weeks veg before flowering will give far better results than flowering from seed.

The only reason I would go 12/12 from seed is cross breeding when Im hoping for a male(s) for pollen I dont want those lil f$ckers gettin big anyway just want some pollen.

i usually force flowering after 1 - 2 weeks of veg. it all depends on your space and method of growing. i usually force flower early because im perpetual, i have no need to grow monsters. peace.

how big do they turn out? and how do you feed nutes to your plants?

usually they are anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 feet and thats with a typical indica. sativas will be somewhat taller most of the time. i dont actually feed my plants until two weeks after they have shown sex. if its a clone they wont be fed until they are about 4 weeks under 12/12 lighting. some plants are a little more touchy than others, therefore i usually start off with 25% of what is recommended with any nutes i use. my bc kush plants are really touchy.

ah well i plan to do it hydroponicly using one wick system plant and one reservoir type just to see which is prefferable. Ill probably force flower the wick one sooner at 10 o r 14 days i heard wicks can get clogged. Lighting will just be flourescents i have white and yellow colored.... If all goes well then ill invest in some good lights and strains and of course let them veg for a month how does this sound? Anything on what to expect for the first run?

well ive never used a wick system, but i have used a SWC system (shallow water culture) so im not too sure on how that would work for ya. your gonna want around 75 watts of cfls per square foot and a mixed spectrum is the best way to go. the last time i ran cfl's i used 3 24 watt soft whites and 2 24 watt day light bulbs for the whole cycle. everyone has there own ways of doing things. i prefer an hps for flowering but sometimes you have to use what you can get. i love my 600w hps, it produces some nice dense bud. i do use cfls for veg and they work great for what they are. im sure someone on this forum could give ya some info on the wick system. its not a very commonly used system but it can be very nice if used correctly. peace.
