Early harvest with pics

Had to harvest my blue dream 2 weeks early (week 7) , had a fungus gnat infestation in the soil and I didn’t want it to spread . Was just wondering besides yield (8 ounces wet, not bad) what differences should I expect . I heard a more psychedelic high from early harvest but I definitely wouldn’t mind that. Thanks

Subtract 70% of weight .... then you will know .

P.S. You could have EASILY CONTROLLED fungus gnats ....

Mosquito Dunks
Horticulture Sand ( top dressing to block egg laying )
Yellow Sticky
Controlling soil moisture ( conducive to problem )

and those buds needed MORE than 2 weeks. It’s really too bad you pulled the plug way too early.

Heavy whitish / green pistils are an EARLY INDICATOR that calyx is NOT MATURE.
Pistils will color off and pull back as calyx ripens , a large percentage of dark pistil over buds helps tell you how far along bud ( flower )
really is. Checking triches are one thing but the bud as it ripens will swell and bulk up.

They were yet to swell and gain mass .... expect a racy high with premature bud.
Think .... green fruit and it’s taste vs. ripened fruit.

Don't take it to hard. You learned a lot I'm sure. Keep at it, you learn how to handle shit like that better with every grow. Except for spider mites, then you're almost screwed since they are put on your plants personally by satan himself.

You can also do a neem oil solution soil drench which I have done before and it works. Also 1 part hydrogen peroxide to four parts water will kill the larvae. Just the standard 3% hydrogen peroxide.

But I agree, harvesting early because of easily controlled gnats was a bad idea.

I still get edgey around harvest and need to come here to get my anxiety under control and continue to wait it out.

As stated by @Budzbuddha you could have gotten your environment under control and still have them in ground. Keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to improve your craft.
