What exactly do you mean by is there any way you can have an early harvest? You can pull your plants at any time. the earlier you pull them the less potency and yeild you will get.

Your harvest time will depend on a lot of environmental factors. Heat light nutes every thing can effect the growth rate of your plants.

But to answer your question I do belive hydro is a faster method. But I havent grown in hydro so this is based off what I've read and been told.

Tons of shit changes the true harvest time. I think lights are a pretty heavy factor, I recently switched from CFL to Mh/Hps and through my CFL researching I found a lot of people with extended harvest times like myself due to the CFL's. Hydro is def a faster growing method than dirt but idk if it changes the flowering time, it def speeds up the veg from what I've seen.

I have seen a lot of folks say average of 10 wks soil, 8 in hydro.. that is likely due to hydro being a bit more efficient at delivering nutes, but like @Anon Emaus said, tons of things other than time dictate harvest readiness, 8-10 weeks is just a gauge, and many strains get better if you go even 12 or 13 weeks..

Here's the Gospel from my very 1st hydro grow.

Delahaze: 9 weeks 5 days total bloom yielded 32 ounces wet
now curing and no idea what cured weight will be.

It all depends on the trichromes. Typically a plants genetics are a plants genetics. I've never seen the same strain grown in different mediums (soil/hydro) finish any earlier. Not saying it's not possible, I've just never seen it happen before and I've done it myself.

Like stated above it depends on a bunch of factors but generally hydro is faster then soil and the only way to speed things up is to use CO2 which usually will finish the plant about a week earlier. Also don't weigh your crop wet it's only gonna upset you when you only get about a third of that weight when things are dry

Only way to shorten flower time - is to start doing a 24hr dark period once a week starting at week 4 of flower - will cut 1 week off harvest time !! Always did on a Monday- for what that's worth
