So I’m starting a new grow log. I just set up a new 5x5 tent with the following lights: vipar spectra p2000, a 150 watt mars hydro, a 200 watt Yancat from wayfair and a 150 watt Aewonda led with Samsung lm301b diodes. I also have 2 15 watt leds that plug into a standard socket for a total of 730 watts and 29 watts/ft. This grow log will also cover my 2x4 tent which has two 150 watt Aewondas for roughly 37 watts/ft (I’m currently finishing flowering my last run in that tent). My medium is either Happy Frog or Mother Earth Groundswell. Everything will run in 3 gallon fabric pots, except the Northern Lights will run in 5 gallon Nursery pots. For this run, I will be using GH maxi gro and GH maxi bloom, plus Calimagic. I’ll also give them Mikrobes every couple of weeks (cheap Amazon version of recharge).
My strains are 00 seeds Northern Lights (I started 3 of these 1 week ago, they will go in the 4x2), 3 Greenhouse Seeds Lost Pearl, 3 Dutch Passion Orange Bud, and 3 of my own cross BBxPPP (Big Bud x Pure Power Plant - these come out with big buds that smell like overripe fruit. All seeds (except the NL are currently in moist paper towel and will go into rooting plugs.
All plants will get topped a few time and scrogged. My goal is 1.5 lbs between both tents. Here are some pics of the 5x5:

Feel free to comment or leave feedback.

PS: temps are a little warm at 80, tomorrow I’ll add a new duct fan to pull more cool air into the tent.

I now have 9 plants potted in the 5x5. The Northern Lights are going to stay in this tent as a few other seeds didn’t germinate. The Lost Pearl only germed 1 of 3, and 1 orange bud didn’t germinate. I expect occasional bad seeds from my orange bud because I harvested the fertilized plant a little bit early when I saw the first seeds breaking out, so there are a few young ones in there. The Lost Pearl is disappointing but at least I have 1. I just dropped 3 blueberry freebies from seedsman into water to start for the 4x2 since the Northern Lights won’t be going in there.
I got my temps sorted out. I turned my exhaust fan from 50% to 75% and opened an extra flap on the bottom of the tent. This brought my high temps down from 80-81 to 77-78. Humidity is good but once our furnace starts running more frequently, it will I’ll drop to 15%. I’ll run a big humidifier in the same room as the tent to prevent this.
No nutrients yet, just water. I started dusting some of the tops of the pots with D. Earth, but I haven’t finished yet. I’ll probably finish that in the next few days. Swarms of fungus gnats are my least favorite thing to deal with, so I I use mosquito dunks and D. Earth liberally. 84A92870-DAEE-40AE-9196-80BD89F3D320.jpeg9DFDE4D3-49FC-45E0-856E-7E2F6C285172.jpeg

Plants are all up and growing now. The 6 plants that were just up in my last post all have their first sets of real leaves now. I’m a little worried about the lost Pearl, the leaves look a little gnarly and the seedling is undersized but we’ll see what happens with it. 8887DA6D-FE30-43DA-B31E-F90309F7380A.jpeg
2 of the 3 blueberry seeds I planted are up but still just in coco pellets in a humidity dome. I think I might try to run these two in coco instead of soil.13A3E52A-CAD8-4CBE-8F5A-BC4A284FAD34.jpeg
The Northern Lights are doing great, I topped them for the first time yesterday. All the other plants are fine. Everything is still feeding on just water, although the Northern Lights will get their first dose of Mikrobs this weekend. I’ll probably start giving them weak feedings of Maxigro/calimagic in about 2 weeks. That’s it for today. EF155E22-A4A6-4D60-8096-96FB6E9F22C0.jpeg

My three Northern Lights are getting big. They have now been topped twice and had their first dose of Mikrobs yesterday. They definitely look happy today. C9F2FB93-6725-435A-B64D-97F1041E0AC7.jpegE5B68703-4D13-4271-A924-7DCC924B1E8F.jpeg
The other 6 plants in this tent are coming along. I topped all of them this morning above the 3rd leaf set except 1 orange bud and the lost Pearl. The 1 orange bud I accidentally topped above the second true leaf set by mistake. I’m sure it won’t matter in the long run. The Lost Pearl is a joke. It looks like it was topped but it wasn’t. It just stopped growing at the second leaf set. We’ll see what happens with it, but it’s days are numbered I think. I started a few new seedlings to replace any plants that don’t work out, this is the only one I’m concerned about. If it doesn’t grow more soon, I’ll stick a white widow in its place in coco so I can catch it up with the other soil plants quickly. I backed off keeping the soil moist as their not really seedlings anymore. I just let them all dry out for the last 2 days then gave them a big drink of water this morning.
On a side note, I’m not impressed with the Ground swell soil. The Northern Lights are growing significantly faster in Happy Frog. I’ll probably have to start supplementing both types of soil with Maxi-gro at the same time even though the Happy Frog plants are 2 weeks older. Side by side comparison makes me believe Happy Frog is better.

My blueberry plants in coco are doing great. Last week they got 1/4 tsp of maxi grow per gallon, this week they’re at 1/2 tsp per gallon plus 1.5 ml of calimagic. I’ve been feeding about a shot glass of nutrients per day but today I gave them a decent amount - maybe a cup. They have big fat roots starting to grow out of the bottom holes of the pots so I think they can handle more nutrient solution without being over watered. 3F93ADCC-6581-4073-8F91-EE333D8FB459.jpeg1457451E-3B90-42EC-8214-2716362A0032.jpeg

My 3 Northern Lights are doing well. CD1EBA98-87AC-4DE6-A98A-5507A38188AE.jpeg
They recovered well from their 2nd topping and are really bushy now. I might top them one more time but I’m debating it. The other 6 plants in the tent are doing ok (in the ground swell soil). They’re not nearly as big as the NLs but they recovered from being topped and are starting to develop side branches. I really want to give them 2 more weeks of veg minimum but I don’t want the NLs to get too big in that time. So maybe only 2 weeks and top the NLs one more time in the next few days is where I’m leaning. Here are pics of the other plants in the 5x5.7D759899-522F-487C-A677-A796C0136926.jpeg8E8DFAF6-AD0B-400E-AD0F-14A9B53898DD.jpeg 11891825-7378-4DE6-A55D-24B0A56D19C9.jpeg
The last pic bottom left is the lost Pearl. Still growing slowly, only going through water half as fast as the others. It did perk up from the .25 tsp/gallon nutrient solution but its still struggling. Oh well.
The blueberry plants in my 4x2 are doing well. They get .75 tsp/gallon of maxigro and 1.5 ml of cal/mag. Tomorrow I will give them some Mikrobs when Ifeed them in the AM. I repotted them into 1 gallon pots a few days ago, the roots are already growing out of the bottom. I don’t know if it was in my last post but I did top them a few days ago. These are also getting flipped in 2 weeks as this tent is only 60” tall.5852BE3F-F53E-4534-A7C2-8FF04F058B6E.jpeg C07B3C56-D5E0-42EF-B307-B19C7AFB0E45.jpeg
Here is a pic of my seedlings. I have 3 white widow, 1 BIg BudXPower Plant, 3 orange hill specials, and 1 Pure power plant. I decided to build my old 3x3 tent and put 5 of these into 2 gallon pots in coco in there. I needed a new light so I order a 240 watt Hydofe Bar Light LED from Amazon for 139$. I also ordered a fan and filter from Amazon for 49$ and they sent me a 400 cfm 6” inline fan that could could move air for a 4x8 room or more. I have a speed controller so I’ll run it really low so it’s not too much. Anyway, here are pics of the 3x3 and the seedlings that are going into itA3798A87-C1F4-42A3-8FE5-78DF1852FDE7.jpeg4D480C93-5E83-4E34-8DF2-FD97A59441E2.jpeg

Everything is doing pretty good in the 5x5 today. I bumped all the lights up to 75% as were starting the last week before the flip. The Northern Lights continue to bush out, they have been really healthy and easy to care for. F98E63DC-C3DF-4BEC-B1A9-41BA8DC9687E.jpeg75E4D93D-6262-4D4D-83C3-EE76349D73AA.jpeg
even the plants in the groundswell soil are looking ok. One of the orange buds seems a little droopy at times, but still growing fine. Even the lost Pearl is growing and ended up being a Triploid! I took a clone off of it to try it in a different medium. It’s currently sitting in a beer bottle in a window.6805280A-21CA-467C-9FB6-104DE1226B9E.jpeg 5145A3F5-FA42-4719-88B7-F13AC7E5BECA.jpeg4A5E4A82-941D-4412-85C2-F3472167001F.jpeg
Even though the orange buds are doing ok, I’ve decided not to scrog net this tent - mainly because I’m scared of the orange buds herming on me. Orange bud is fussy if you stress it and has a tendency to drop a ball or two. I need to be able to pull the plants out and inspect them throughout flower - a net would prevent that. Anyway, 1 more week and this tent gets flipped.
I fucked up one of my blueberry plants. My biggest struggle around growing in coco is not drowning young plants or drowning them when I up pot them, which is what happened with the blueberry. After sitting half drowned and droopy all week, I started to get some new shoots growing as I have the watering/nutrient schedule worked out now. I clipped all the big leaves off of it that weren’t bouncing back and this is what I have now. (The plant in the back corner)1B860C98-A4D3-4071-9E46-EE829964A7C0.jpeg
The other coco plants are doing fine, the white widows and a bbxppp got up potted to 1 gallons. The healthy blueberry is getting full strength 900 ppm maxigro with 1.8 ml calimagic. Since I only have 1 healthy blueberry now, I’m going to move it to the 3x3 and run it alone with a Scrog net. This way I can veg it a couple more weeks and grow a monster . Here it is now, just under 4 weeks. 6C550F9F-BC12-4503-8912-6B9627238237.jpeg
The rest of the coco plants will all stay in this 4x2 and will flip in a couple weeks. I’ll have 8 1 gallons in here and will run it like a sea of green . No topping. I’ve never done a run like that and as I now have the plants a good set up for it, I’m excited to try it. 3CFC743C-653D-47E6-A90E-18C112959152.jpeg
That’s all for this week.

Today is 6 weeks of veg for the Northern Lights. It’s roughly 4.5 for the blueberry in coco and the rest of the soil plants. I flipped them into flower yesterday. I added the big blueberry in coco to the 5x5 and removed the smallest orange bud. That blueberry is just too big for the 4x2 and I need to veg the 4x2 for a couple more weeks. I gave the orange bud to a grower friend of mine who has some space. One of the Northern Lights got some rust spots on the biggest fan leaves, I think it disliked the increase from quarter to half strength nutes and locked out cal/mag, I may be wrong about that but I flushed with pure water and microbes plus a light dose of cal/mag only and it stopped, so I think I’m close to right anyway. Here are pics of the 5x5. 3 NLS on left, blueberry in coco on bottom right.5C222D8F-F1A1-4788-A781-B9F0BBA25E34.jpegD91B3ED2-92CD-4186-8AF7-21F4505B621A.jpeg81EC2621-70AD-446A-9B93-31CA4B085526.jpeg
I’ll update later with pics of my 4x2.

Pics of my 4x2. Gifted away a few of the smaller plants, kept two white widows and 1 blueberry to take into flower(after a couple more weeks veg). The plant in the small pot is an orange hill special that I will probably give away as I don’t have the space for it. I’m keeping my 3x3 open for seedlings and clones (I have 4 clones in beer bottles on my window sill). 5A29BA68-FA30-423F-B2DF-4A3FC4F2A67C.jpeg3BD7DB75-1A6A-44C8-AEC9-FA9451D72021.jpeg

Another week another update. My big blueberry in coco is doing amazing. It’s really stretchy which has been great for filling in a large area of my netting. 77FF27DC-A3BB-406B-AA3A-457C6C38B888.jpeg
Also check out my triploid lost Pearl. It has some cal/mag deficiency I believe, but oh well it’s still growing.29242391-7D35-4D95-882F-1A16C67390C7.jpeg
My Northern Lights are still doing great. I wish that back one had a more even canopy, but it’s going to yield well regardless.2310D03F-B922-497B-A76A-39C864B76F99.jpeg Everything in my 4x2 is doing well. I transplanted the small blueberry and white widows to 3 gallon pots, They didn’t miss a beat growing with the transplant. 1A23F38B-3486-489E-A575-8C429E129EF2.jpegDE22DF5E-EE3D-4246-8875-6120D10CC1EE.jpeg
Should have the 4x2 in flower by next update. That’s it for this update.

It grew maybe 10 or 12 stalks that stretched like a foot above the canopy - I cut them off. As soon as I did that, the canopy exploded in flower sights. I think this one is going to be a big yielder. I had been concerned about it being a herm, but everything sprouted pistils so we’re good.
Here are some pics of the Northern Lights. They just get Dr earth bud and bloom every 2 weeks plus microbes. Couldn’t be easier.0A494155-7AAC-4FCB-A12A-79430621B3E6.jpeg
Here are my white widows. They aren’t really throwing pistils yet, but they went into 12/12 when they were only a foot tall - so they’re still filling out. I haven’t grown plants natural that I didn’t top, LST, or train something for like 15 years. It’s cool to watch these two grow that I did literally nothing with. 9868ECDA-84DE-49DB-9E8D-A69854172959.jpeg

My 4x2 - stunted blueberry on the left, mystery but I’m guessing orange hill special next to that. Then 2 orange buds on the right.796F9D88-50DD-49E5-B7A1-DF67150A774A.jpeg

3.5 weeks into flower on the 5x5 and 2.5 weeks in the 4x2. That’s it for this week.

Thought I would do an update before I go shovel the 11" of snow we got yesterday/last night.

Today is 34 days of flower. We'll start today with my 4x2. My orange buds are both doing pretty good. One on the right looks a little finicky, but it has since it was a seedling. These are in the groundswell soil that gave me headaches early on - now they get Dr earth bud and bloom every two weeks. The plant on the far left is blueberry. It is a different pheno than the big one in my 5x5. It has skinnier but longer buds forming than the big one. The plant 2nd from the left is my mystery plant - it's doing fine, just starting to flower. I put it into flower at only 3 weeks so it took a while to start blooming.20221218_082601.jpg

Now for the 5×5. Here is a full pic20221218_082417.jpg
The Northern lights on the bottom right is showing some nice purple already. 65 nighttime Temps help with that.20221218_082345.jpg
One of my white widows did the weird celery stem mutation starting halfway up the stem. The bottom is normal, but the top is:
20221218_082402.jpg
The top flower is weird too
20221218_082407.jpg
Here is a pic of my big blueberry. This thing is a beast. I have never grown a plant so big before. The top flowers are 5 ft high (minus pot height) and the canopy is almost 1/4 of my 5x5. It has some pistols turning orange and random calyxes turning purple. 20221218_082719.jpg
Last pic is the top bud on my lost pearl. It's one of those mutated double buds. But the smell - this plant has the most excellent spicy 90s bud smell. Just pure spice. No funk, no earthiness, almost smells like high quality Mexican sensimilia from that era.its not going to be a big yield, maybe a zip total, but it will be my private stash. I love this smell. 20221218_082803.jpg
That's it for now.

Lights out pics of my 5x5 6 weeks plus 3 days of flower. I have some yellowing starting on pretty much all of my soil plants... I'm not changing anything. I know it's low N but have struggled in the past with supplementing N this late in flower. Normally I would pick the yellow leaves off at least, but it's too difficult with the Scrog net. So they stay. Here are the pics.

Week 8 plus 1 day. I was thinking the blueberry would go to ten weeks but I'm thinking 9 might be good. 20230109_132326.jpg20230110_220726.jpg
Northern Lights are looking good. The one with the most color might come down next week, but the other two should make it til 10 weeks. 20230110_220740.jpg20230110_220743.jpg20230110_221034.jpg

Next is one of the bbxppps. It has lots of yellowing but is blooming fine. 20230110_220748.jpg

Sorry, got bad about updates... so much chopping and trimming to do. Here is the end result.... I have the main cola of one of the white widows still hanging but everything else is processed. 20230204_074828.jpg

Processed half the trim into dry ice hash: 20230204_074749.jpg

I'll keep updating this grow log. I have new seeds started - I have some fuel dog, og kush, Durban, and GSC already started. I'll post pics soon.

I got new plants in my 5x5! The 3 on the right from front to back are 1 Nirvana GSC (4weeks old), then 2 Nirvana Durbans that started from clones. The middle row is both seedsman OG kush. The row on the left is all Seedsman Fuel dog. Everything in this tent is in soil except the single GSC is in coco. 20230213_082038.jpg20230213_082043.jpg20230213_082049_resized.jpg

I've had my 3x3 set up for almost 2 months now with this Nirvana Durban in soil. I topped it 3 or 4 times and took several clones for myself (the 2 in the 5x5) and for friends. It's under a 200 watt Vipar. It's been in flower for 1 week.20230213_082119.jpg

Here is my 4x2. All three of these are Nirvana GSC in 2 gallon pots of coco. Maxi series notes. All are 4 weeks from sprout. Honestly I'll probably flip them in a week or 2, this tent is short, only 72". I'm definitely not letting them veg for almost 8 weeks like the Durban in my 3x3. 20230213_082151.jpg
That's it for today.
