well advice from my friend is as follows:
if you cant hang them up to dry... put them in a paper bag for 5 days, then in an air tight jar for another couple days, that shud work fine

I have never made it to the cure stage and am curious why you can't just use some brown paper bags put a couple in a brown bag lunch sac and then put the smaller bags in a paper grocery bag? Wouldn't the paper pull the moisture out of the bud? Mold wouldn't form unless it was warm so put it in a cool dark place right?

You can do what you wonder about. There are many ways to cure.

The thing is that not all ways are equally as good and if you want the best results you will follow the advice of professionals rather than the advice of amateurs or by devising your own system.

Why reinvent the wheel when the wheel has already been perfected?

wait, the watercuring sounds cool. How do you do it? do you do it after you dry the buds or before? besides wouldnt the thc from the buds get pulled off into the water?

To be honest you can do it before or after... if you're harvesting, do it first.

You soak your buds in water, changing the water once a day for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of around 10 days.

THC is not water-soluble, no it will not get pulled off.

To be technical it is the resin that contains the THC that is not water-soluble.
To be technical..

Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol is an aromatic terpenoid, which has a very low solubility in water, but good solubility in most organic solvents such as butane or hexane. The solubility of THC in water is only 2.8 g/L at room temperature.

also do you have to cure the buds in jars after you do the watercuring or are they ready to be smoke after they are dried?

i dont get why ppl put alot of work into curing process. all it is, is another way to get the water out of the buds. and alot of ppl waste alot of bud or thc trying to cure their buds and wind up rubbing it against things or handleing them too much. i mean wouldnt it be easier to just leave your plants hanging for an extra week or two? i know commercial grows dont cure their buds. they just trim it up, cut them down, hang them for maybe 3-4 days,(sometimes a week) and put them in a big ziplock bag and redy to sell it to a dealer.

That's fine for people worried about speed instead of quality. I don't sell my buds. They are for me and friends/family. I want the best, not the quickest smoke.

But I have quick dried more bud than I'd care to admit. :bigjoint:
