Hello to all the growers,

I love you. I'm not kidding. I love all of you. This website is awesome, the community is great. What an invaluable resource this website is. So thanks in advance for any and all help.

I'm one month into my first grow and I'm having some type of newb problem. I have no idea what I'm doing really. I learn more every day though.

I've done some searches and have read the FAQ and most of the newbie sections, but I still am not sure what is wrong with my plants. I bet some of you can tell what's going on instantly by looking at the pic.

I have a more in depth journal here...

Thanks for your quick reply! Alright, you got it. I have that info in my grow journal but prolly shoulda posted again here.

I have a 400w MH conversion bulb about 16" away from the top of the tallest plant.

I just started nutes last week. I tried to find a 20-5-5 like the newb guide said and could only find a 4-1-1, which I figured is the same thing at lesser strength. It's made from fish shit. I have no idea what PPM I'm using until my meter shows up in the mail. I'm following the directions on the bottle for indoor plants during the grow cycle which is two tsps. per litter of water. I'm using it once every three days. There is a pic of it here...

The PH is a bit undetermined at this point as I only got a cheap-o meter which gives me different readings depending where in the dirt I stick it. I'm going to run out and get some strips and some ph down today. I tend to think that it's a bit high (like 6.8 to 7.5) but I'm not sure yet. Sorry.

Thanks again.

i would back that light off about 4-6inches...your using fish emulsion an that stuff rocks just stinks...you need to get your ph in check 7.5 is way off...you want a p.h between 6.2-6.7....peace az

Thanks again Azgrow.

So you think a ph like mine would cause this kinda leaf damage? Or the distance of the light may be causing leaf burn?

As an update, I ripped down all of the tin foil today. I doubt that was the source of my problem, but I want to eliminate every potential source that I can.
