I germed all the beans on the 6th most were up by the 8th and I had to come back to Florida on the 11th of Oct and havent been back home since, I have been having my associate care for things until I get back to Montana permanently. We had a couple little "setbacks", the seedlings had a little heat stress because he turned the occilating fan off with the T5s real close. When I had him start fertilizing I told him 1 tsp of the nutes per gallon and he used 1 tablespoon.....and he did it twice before I figured out what was going on and they had a little nute burn by then. So I figure the plants are stunted by a week to 10 days. I should have some new pics tommorrow, he usually sends me some every 3-4 days and I will be back home on monday.

holy crap, poor seedling. fortunately the FFOF I use does not require nutes until after 30 days. I'll check it out. peace

yo easy
justa lil somethin on soil. i've used three kinds. mg organic, ff planting soil and ffof. some plants are sensative to the ffof. some say its to hot for plants. i think this may be why my ladiva has alot of yellow tips. just keep an eye on that. not having to use nutes is nice especially in the veg time. try and mix in some guano. helps during veg alot.

I have to agree with crazytrain, FFOF burned the tips of the first set of leafs on my seedlings.
They recovered fine but FFOF is alittle "Hot".

There coming along nice easy!! I haven't had any problems with ffof burning my girls yet... Probably depends on the strain.

Sorry I've been busy. Some major "goings on" at work keeping me tied up. Just happy to be among the employed.

I got a sweet deep grapefruit seed as a freebie at the begining of spring. it was grown outdoors. it was one of the best smelling/tasting plants i have ever smoked. didn't produce a whole lot, but i think that was because of my spot,. not genetics. between it and the cloud #9 i'm not sure which i liked better, but both were awesome. will def. be getting dinafem again! neither hermied, both were superior tasting and had plenty of the most important ingredient: THC!!!
I do have to say, on a final note, that the sweet deep grapefruit LITERALLY made my mouth water when i would smell it!

I've grown it, too. The buds were more like little round popcorn buds, versus big colas, and it did have the citrus-like taste. Again, big-assed stem. Very sturdy. BIG ass leaves, too. The kind you want to rip off and fan yourself with.
Here's mine. I topped mine early on. Mine was a freebie seed that I've since cloned a few times. I think I'm on version 4 or 5 of this original plant now. These were taken a week or so before I cut her. Watch her closely, though, as it's a known fact these girls like to hermie at the lats minute. Mine did, too. I very carefully pulled the balls off and kept on going and was fine.

No, I have not considered so much for exactly the reason I use FFOF. I don't want to over nute the plants. I figure once I get comfy with a full life cycle grow or two, I can start playing with soil and nutes. For now I like the almost idiot proof FFOF.

Thanks rambler420. I definite look for all ball sacks and rip them off immediately, just like it was an Italian boys choir. Glad to hear so many positive reviews on the SDG. cant's wait now... I anticipate a end of Jan11 to early Feb11 smoke day.
