Went to my local hydro shop today, told me that they sell a digital ballast for 398 ALONE.... 400 something for the hood, and bulb... NOT what i was expecting to spend for a 400watt HPS/MH setup....

anyway, my question is would you trust a product like this? 400 watt HPS GROW LIGHT SYSTEM w 400w SUN LAMP +BALLAST - eBay (item 180205443458 end time Feb-08-08 13:15:00 PST)

its a 400watt setup with ballast and whatnot... should i get something like this and save a few bucks, or is the retail type ballast setup the only way to go...

Not doing CFLs for my flowering, will be doing them for my lil plants while the others are flowering.

Any feedback from you guys would be amazing.. im working on getting ready to start my first grow (blueberry ScRoG baby :) will get the journal going shortly after i get this figured out lol

So long as you're buying it from HTGsupply, you should be in good shape. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them so I think it's a safe and cost-effective alternative.

And that way you can go there anytime!
By the way only two reliable seller on ebay!
HTG is 1 and the other I forgot but I ordered a light and they took it back with the full refund!
