Ebb and flow or RDWC

So first time doing hydro everything I read each one is better

1. I like the oxygen pots with Reservoir And 55 gal tank. Also the price is $500 for timers and everything.

2. I seem to like the bubble effect with RWDC
But everything is very expensive.
Which one is better bigger yields less time less maintenance.
Spend 500 for already made ebb and flow with oxygen pots
Or $500 to build my self.

Not sure what you mean by oxygen pots.

Flood and Drain is the easiest and most hands off system I ever used. Did it for over a decade on a pretty large scale. Only reason I stopped is to abide by a plant count. Even ran my reservoirs the whole flowering cycle without changeout.

DWC always runs the risk of root rot and generally requires a lot more checking the pH.

RDWC is great, and it's so easy. Not only that, but it's so cheap and easy to build your own, from really basic stuff. You can also build a fairly complex system, that runs almost flawlessly and has superior results.

Thing is, it's too easy to build, to go out and buy a turnkey RDWC for $500 on up.

Try following my thread on how I built mine. I go into great detail, have lots of pics, and get plenty of feedback on other experienced growers.
