Ec pen

So it reads in microsiemens? 1 microsiemen equals .001 EC or milisiemens? Sounds like need to convert it. Says will switch to EC or milisiemens when the reading is hogh enough. So cant just do EC which is on 500 scale? Idk but I think thats the answer. Need to convert if cant change.

Look on the pen and find it's model number which you can use to find the manual online. Give it a read from cover to cover. I always read manuals because you can find out things that you can do that you never knew about.

Id change it to milisiemens only if you can or else idk who is gonna know what ur numbers are when asking for help on something. I never heard of microsiemens lol.

Thatd be fustrating. I just use the hanna ec meter, my only complaint is put the calibration button somewhere else. If you press it you must calibrate it which is a waste of solution if it was by mistake. Its right next to power button which sucks.

EC is the international standard but the EC reading can be converted to a "parts per million" value. "Parts per million of what?", is a logical question.

Bluelab has a good tech note on the PPM scales. Handy to know but the easiest way to avoid confusion is to stick with EC.
