Gotcha... perfect in your situation though so I'm glad you won the light. If one didnt know better, they would think you built your diy frame around the Eco haha

It's funny. It would fit SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG if I didn't have my far red pontoons mounted on the inside of the heatsinks. I mean... like perfectly.

@Ecosunlite CREE LED I don't know why, but your light puts out SO MUCH HEAT. I can't get my temps lower than 88*F. I can just feel the heat on the top of my buckets. I never had this issue with my diy light. I went ahead and switched the cobs off and am going to just run the monos to see if that cools things down. How hard are these cxb3070's being driven? I think you've just packed too much light, and driver heat, into too small of a fixture. The 6 fans you're using should really be 9 fans placed over each individual light component.

Generally if keep adding light and heat to a given space it will raise in temps.maybe you need more air extraction on the way of a bigger fan ?

The Ecosunlite emits a FUCK LOAD OF heat. My temperatures are much much higher than they've ever been. Almost 90. I turned up the exhaust and the intake so I'll see if that makes a difference. Thank heavens for my water chiller... at least my water will be kept cool.
Guess now you see why everybody was harping on what bins they were using.

The spread on XPE efficiency is -huge-, here is red:

The top bin is 60%(!) more efficient than the lowest. The difference between being a great deal, and meh.

Now that the cobs are off, it's much much cooler.
They must be driving the shit out of the cobs then? It goes back to everyone i see recommending new guys go with shit like 2100ma or 2800ma,those hard driven cobs will make a shitload of heat along with the extra light.so if your not prepared to run hot stick with proven methods ie, 700ma thru 1400ma.
Now im curious to know how hard those e cobs are being driven, pop that bitch open and give us the skinny

I already asked if he would open it up and give us the skinny on them and got shot down
I figured he would have done that right out of the box him being a DIY'er and all. Inquiring minds want to know haha

Monos 800mA and the cobs are at 1400. 50watt cobs, So nothing too crazy. The heat I assume is just because of poor fan placement. The drivers Completely block any air from exiting out the sides :/

I might buy meanwell to drive all this stuff on just 2 drivers mounted ON TOP of it .and remove all those bulky drivers and give those heatsinks all the room they could ever need. MW 185-1400 for the 3 cobs and what would I need for the 6 Monos? 120-700?

I worked to help these guys build up the brand for over 1 year and in the end they have ripped off some of their customers I was supposedly helping. I am currently seeking anybody who has had bad experience with Michael Yang to come forward and speak - major discrepancies in clients orders and false chip sets being sent out.
Nothing major but I would never buy from them again. I picked up a cheap Cree bar for additional veg light. Not satisfied one bit.
