Nice start to your widowcindy grow. Are you going to have enough room to grow all those plants in your closet? I'll be watching. With Earl on your sholder you will do fine. Question on the CO2 apparatus what brand is the one in the pic?

PS You need to clean out your PM box . . .its full!
I got your PM.

The Co2 monitor is by Harvest Master. They have 4 or 5 different models. The one I am thinking about getting is the basic one that just controlls co2 and you can upgrade it to control your fans and a/c too. The other ones have it so you can plug your light in and all your pumps and anything else you may have. I can control all that myself for right now, I just need help with the carbon dioxide.

I don't think that I will overgrow. The place they are in now is half the size of the flowering chamber (flower is 4x4; veg is 2x4)

I was wondering if I should throw the Cindys under the HPS right now. Not to flower yet, but just put them in the room, get them ready and they could have a HID light to grow under.

What do you guys think? Keep them under the floros for now and let them veg their or fire up the big light and put them under there? (Keep in mind the 600watter takes up power and if I don't have to I don't want to)

I notice the lower WC branches dont seem to be getting that much light, would they get more under the big light?

Everything going well. Waiting for em go grow bigger!

Here is WidowCindy G. It is on the the small ones with not a lot of growing going on. It looks happy though.

WC B. Short but a little branching.

This is more like what I want to keep. Faster growing and more vigor.

This one is doing well too. Got a little burned by the light. Growing too fast for its own good!

I watered them right after the pics, so the soil may look a little dryed out.

I am in the process of transplanting them over the next couple days. 1 done so far.

thanks earl,

I had a question about flushing.
I plan to flush this weekend (after I use all the nutes I currently mixed). How much do I flush with? I have heard 3x the volume of the pot. So with my one gallon pots do I have to use 3 gallons of H2O?? This is a lot. I haven't had the dough to buy the RO machine yet so it is unpractical to flush each pot with that much distilled water. If I have to flush with this much can I use tap water like from my shower to flush or would this throw off the ph of my soil? (I just have a fish aquarium tester and when I test the tap it is way higher than it even measures (over 7, it takes a lot of ph down to bring it donw to 6) What sould I do!?!?

Thank you very much!

I am just using a fish tank ph tester. It is a pain to use and is not very accurate. It measures from 5.8 to 7. It won't tell you if it is under 5.8 (it just has the same color no matter how lowe below that point it is) But I think the AN Sensi 2 part has a ph buffer. I test my water and it will seem to be ph'ed low when I get it but after I make my mix and test the ph it seems to be right on every time. The ph is about 6.3 to maybe 6.7 I think. I try to get it to as close to what I think is 6.5 as I can.

Thanks for keeping an eye on my grow.

Do you know if I can FLUSH with tap water in veg stage? Info would really help. I am trying to FLUSH every week so there is no salt build up or nute lock out. Thanks all!!

ok 2 questions now

First: what are the quidelines to flushing
Second: How much perlite should I mix with my FoxFarm OceanForest to make the soil more airy?

To Buy list:
More name stakes
Stakes to hold the plant straight up and down
More FFOF

If you are asking me,
I have no idea.

Your method of growing is totally beyond my experience.

I know about DWC and Aero
and I am learning about Hempy buckets,
but when you start using foxfarm soil,
I can't help you there.

Whatever you are doing right now, is working so far.

I would try to avoid using tapwater in your soil.

Yeah that is what I was thinking about the tap. If I flush with tap then the tap will be in the soil still. I just don't want any salt build up.

Well I have a couple days still before I plan to flush so hopefully some help comes through before then. Thank you anyways!!

look at how healthy the top to this one looks. Besides the burn from it touching the light. It looks like it is going to explode! I just like that pic.

Im really likeing the dark ass shade of green that it has going on. It has the Widow color to it. Like I said one of them is even darker. It looks like it might go black at some point!

Hey man! I us coco or promix. They are soilless mixes with no nutes in them. they act alot like soil. You are using soil so about the irst 3 weeks you won't really need to give them nutes. After 3 weeks start feeding them. Now if you want to flush during mid life your not going to want to flush ALL the nutes out of the soil because they still need to grow.
With my experience I would reccomend flushing with a very mild nutrient solution at about 1/4 streanth. you need to flush with 3 times more water than the pot size so if your in 1 gal pots you need to flush with at least 3 galons of solution
I just put my plants in the bath tub and slowy pour the water through them. I like to give them a 1/2 flush with just plain water then let it sit fo 10 min and then use the 1/4 streangth nute water. I let it sit to disolve all the buld up in the soil then fush it again to wash them out/

That was wierd. Have to accept the rules again to post? Must be the server update. Anyways...

Thanks for the tip Mattso. Im thinking when I flush Im going to put them into the other room after (yeah under the flowering light, but I will still veg them for another 10 days or so).

So I will do it like you said. Rinse with 1.5 gallons then Water at 1/4 strength nutes then transplant them from the 1 gallon pots into the 3 gallon (pretty sure they are 3) pots.

Thanks a lot for the help buddy.

How do you Flush with that much h2o though? Do you buy all distilled water to do it? It seems like a lot of water to be using every week. I need an RO machine then everything would be peachy!

Plants are looking good! As mattso said I would flush. If you dont want the chlorine in the water you can let it sit out for 24 hours or put an aquarium heater in a container and heat to 85 degrees fro 24 hours. That will drive off the chlorine. The disssolved solids is the bad actor in tap water. Add nute to high tds tap water and your double dosing the roots with salt. Only way to tell is with an EC meter.

At this point I would just flush and do th eweak nute soln as Mattso said.

Ok, so I am going to buy 3 gallons of purified H2o for each plant right? How long do you think I could go between flushes being that that is a lot of water (3 gallons times 9 plants is uh well let me seeeeeeee twenty um carry the ..... 27 gallons of water to flush all my plants out)

So Im going on need to fill 6, 5 gallon bottles of water. This is going to take a whole after noon being that I only have one 5 gallon jug available. Oh well anything to make the girls (hopefully) happy!!

Thanks a lot for clearing that up for me. You guys are the best!!

Also note that I sould be taking my first set of clones within the next few days. There are 2 or 3 plants that will give me 2-4, 4-6 inch clones each.

There are a couple that look like they are not branching out very well so I hope I can get a cut off em somehow. They don't really look like keepers anyway. Kind of look like the Oregan Purp Thai influenced I would think but am not sure as I am not too familiar with Cindy 99 or Oregan Thai.

I looked yesterday closely and didn't see anything either way. I will look again right now and let you know if I see anything. How many nodes till you think I can tell? Im about 9 or 10 on my biggest ones yet and 3 or 4 on my small ones.

the P.H. pen and the ppm pen was the best thing i ever got..i would not grow without them..i like to flush with them it will tell you what's going on as far as how low the acid is of how hight the ppm's are..so if thare hight i know i have to flush them out ontil my pen say's it good..so cool maybe this will help a bit!!!
